I have some friends that avoid some types of alcohol because they say it brings out an evil, mouthy, fighting, argumentative, etc. beast. My boyfriend won’t touch Tequila because he said he becomes aggressive when drinking it. I’ve realized I get “in your face” ballsy after Jack Daniels, but I’m mellow and chill when drinking wine. Another friend said she gets weepy on Gin and turns into a gladiator after Rum, so she avoids them. Anyone else?

@Jinxy: Eh, it all makes me feel pretty nauseous and tired.

I avoid rum because it gives me a horrible stomach ache every time, but I haven’t noticed my behavior being different on different kinds of alcohol.

No, some just gets me sicker/drunker faster than others. None have different effects on my personality in different ways.

I’ve not noticed any personality changes, but wine, especially reds, make the bottoms of my feet itch!
Other than that, different types of alcohol pack a bigger punch than some, but really, nothing above and beyond the normal “alcohol” effects.

I can only drink 2 tequila drinks because I usually end up crying if I drink more.

Red wine makes me very chatty.
White wine makes me thoughtful and introspective
Tequila turns me into the life of the party, lol
And beer makes me feel fat.

Red Wine – I’m super mellow, Rum – crazy chatty, Jagermeister – sick, White Wine – headache. Everything else is typical alcohol effects.

One of my college roommates always said tequila makes her clothes fall off.
I haven’t noticed a difference between different types of alcohol for me.

I can’t get drunk on beer because I feel bloated before I get drunk.

Champagne makes me super giddy and silly.

Yes. I’m best on red wine. I get loud on liquor.
DH is totally normal on beer or wine, but when he drinks liquor he gets moody and negative and just gets completely ridiculou.

@Jinxy: “clear” alcohol, ie: vodka and gin turn me into a puker. I can’t hold it.
Wine, especially red wine makes me sleepy and I will just pass out.
Give me tequila, rum or whiskey and I am the freaking life of the party! BUT I do get mouthy and have been known to say things I probably should not – as in get up in people’s faces. BUT, my friends still love a drunk a MangoSong and will go to lengths to make sure I’m probably sloshed. It doesn’t happen often though.
Beer and I do not get along. Stomach ache, puking after a couple of sips.
