It's fairly typical here that a bridal shower is for friends and family.
I have been to a ton of friends showers when I wasn't in the wedding.
I think its typical and it depends on who is throwing it and how many people they are inviting. I've been invited to bridal showers to both family and friends and also not invited to close friends because it was family only.
I've been to a ton of friends bridal showers. I think it depends on how many they can accommodate and what the size of their family and wedding party. I don't plan on having any BM so I will have friends.
funny, i would think its strange NOT to invite your friends! i have been invited to ALL my friends bridal showers and they were invited to mine!
I'm having a small shower for family and then another shower for friends. Some people have multiple showers so maybe you're going to either a big shower or a "friends" shower!
I'm not inviting every female on the guest list to my shower, but I did give FMIL a list of a few close friends who live in the area. I thought it was open to whomever, as long as they're invited to the wedding.
