…even with a diamond or very nice ring on the important finger? I’ve found on 2 occasions that guys hit on me, like my ring is invisible. I make no effort to hide it from anyone. I guess most college guys don’t expect women to be engaged so they don’t think to look at the ring?
Anyone else run into that? I’ve thought about wearing a cheap wedding band to ward off unwanted attention.

Yeppers. But at my age, I either ignore it or simply consider it a compliment and go out my business.

Yes. I generally find that men simply do not care. Obviously, I’m sure a lot do care, but I’ve gotten enough stupid comments and so have friends of mine in the same situation that it’s quite sad. I really had no idea that people would still hit on me and was really quite unprepared the first time that it happened.

Yeeeeep. I think they find it more attractive sometimes because we’re “forbidden fruit”. Hah.

Yes, sometimes they don’t see it, sometimes they see it and don’t care. *shrug* I just ignore it.

Yep. The other side of it, is my fiance (and I) wore a ring while we worked in the middle east for appearances. He was hit on sooooo much….more with then without.

Yes, though I had one guy tell me he thought I was wearing my engagement ring on the wrong hand. After it was clear he was hitting on me I mentioned my Fiance and he said “I didn’t know you were engaged.” So I showed him my ring and he said “doesn’t it go in the right hand?” So some are just clueless.

I think 90% of men just don’t notice rings. that’s just not where they’re looking…
women will check if there’s a ring before hitting on a man, they won’t.
I know very few men which will even remember what a woman was wearing the day before, let alone a ring on a finger

I dont think many guys notice either, and a lot probably done care. But some actually surprisingly have no freaking clue and arent even sure if it goes on the right or left hand.
