So we are having a planned elopement and I have already hired a photographer. We are doing the ceremony at noon and having cake, drinks, and a light catered lunch. Our guest list is about 5 people so it's not even really a party, just really close family. So I was wondering if we should buy extra food for the photographer who will be tailing us until we leave for our honeymoon at like 2pm. I really not sure how to brench the subject with him and it isn't covered in the contract so should I just plan on including him? What is everyone else doing?

Although your wedding will not be lengthy it will be over the noon hour. It would be very kind and considerate to have a plate for the photographer- something easy to eat without cutlery and packaged to go.

Yes, you should. Typically the photographer won't take pictures when people are eating (no one really looks good eating) and it's nice for them to refuel. Usually they scarf it down and eat while the bride and groom are eating (sounds like you will all eat at the same time because of your small guest list). I'm sure he/she will stay out of the way - and it would be a nice gesture to provide food for him/her.

@bridetobe7844: It doesn't sound like there will be a DJ and videographer at this 5 person wedding.

I agree with julies, since the whole event is rather short you probably don't HAVE to provide him/her a meal, but it would be very nice and I'm sure they would appreciate it.
