Is it just me, or does some one else feel like this too.
I made a list of things to do and buy before the wedding, but I can’t really do them until it gets a little closer (just in case of changes that happen before the wedding). The list seems so small because I have checked off quite a few things. But I feel like some thing is missing and then when the day comes I’ll think of it and there wont be enough time to get it done.
Maybe its just the jitters…..

I get it! Sometimes I look at my list for awhile thinking two thoughts. The first is, there must be something that I’m forgetting and the second- why is there nothing for me to do right now. Every once in awhile, looking at the list does help me remember something. Other times I’m just like, well, if I can’t think of it now, it must not be too important! I’m so into lists and I get such a thrill from being able to cross something off. You’re right though, a lot of things can’t be done until closer to the day.

I think it’s also partly just that this is something of a lull as far as when things are scheduled/needed (at least for us, and it seems like the general timeframes are pretty consistent in different areas). Our caterer and venue needed contracts four months out, so those are done; we did the photographer’s contract around the same time. Ditto for the hotel blocks, rehearsal dinner, invitations, etc. Dress had to get ordered on the same timeline, but won’t be in till May so can’t do much on that right now. We need to finalize the menu and figure out the dessert plan, but we can’t do that till six weeks or so beforehand. Similarly, we have to do the paperwork pieces within a certain window so that’s happening in May too.
Basically the only things on our list for April are mailing the invites when we get them back from the printer and ordering rings. Everything else either already had to be done or can’t be done till May or June.
I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts! 😉
