We’re trying to decide which photo to use for our thank-you cards. I love this one, with one exception: I think I look topless. Of course, I was wearing a strapless dress, but I don’t want the sign to look like it’s censoring anything! What do you think?
The photo was taken by our wonderful photographer, Lisa Hessel.

Once you mention it you do look a little topless lol but I would have never thought that if you never said anything! It’s a super cute pic, use it!

I really don’t think people are going to think that you are topless. It’s obvious you are wearing a dress.

Okay, you do look a bit strapless. But these will just be going to individuals who were at your wedding right? I’m sure they will understand that the sign is just covering up your dress! I think its a beautiful picture!

It’s possible that there is someone out there who thinks you chose to wear a wedding skirt instead of a wedding dress…LOL…but I am sure those people weren’t guests and won’t be getting thank you cards. It’s a nice pic…I say use it

I would have nevr thought about unless you pointed it out. I think it’s fine and you should send it out anyway!

I think it looks fine! No one will think you are topless and I really wouldn’t have noticed had you not pointed it out.

Yes, but no one will think that you are actually topless!

Same as PP, once you mentioned it, it kind of does look like you are topless. But 1) I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out and 2) Do you really think someone would believe you were topless at your wedding?
It’s a nice picture, I say use it!

Heya, you must live in the ‘lou!
I wouldn’t worry about it, nobody’s going to think you’re topless. After all, you CAN see the rest of the dress =]

Just wanted to say that I had to read your post after seeing the title 🙂

You totally look topless! Sorry, it’s funny…

@babyboo: I know people won’t think I’m actually topless, but that’s just a whole lotta skin. I’m modest, what can I say…
@ejs4y8: I don’t actually live in STL, but I got married at the City Museum. It was amazing, tornado drill and all.
But I love this photo. I mean, how adorable is my husband? 🙂

The picture is adorable. If you cropped the picture at the bottom of the signs (so that you couldn’t see the rest of the dress), it would look like you are topless. But your eye takes in the whole picture…and (at least I did) realizes its a dress. Besides, everyone who gets a note already knows what your dress looked like anyway.

Honestly I don’t think anyone will notice it. Just don’t don’t mention it to anyone. I even tested it on FI and asked him if he noticed anything without reading the subject and he didn’t. Then I told him what to look for and he still didn’t see it.
