I just don’t know. We’re having a small-ish wedding, 80-90 guests, outdoor ceremony and reception indors nearby. I’m DIYing almost everything, but I’m wondering if I need someone Day Of to set up/tear down. Our reception site comes with a “day of coordinator” but it says in the contract she ONLY does the reception, not the outdoor ceremony, and from reviews I’ve read about her online, she’s not that great. Fiance and I are also paying for everything ourselves, so I’d have to take the cost into consideration
How much do DOCs usually cost? Is it worth it, or should I just plan my day around setting up my ceremony site myself?

We booked a DOC (they are a sister team) for $1200, and I think they’re totally worth it. They review contracts, make sure you get everything you’re supposed to, guard the card box, direct people, make sure no one gets out of hand, etc. I think it will be totally worth it.
Evne with only 80-90 people, stuff can (and will) still go wrong.

Price depends on where you live. Mine is $1400 but that’s in an expensive Destination Wedding location, and it also covers the week of instead of just the day of. Hands down, the one piece of advice all of my friends have told me is to get a DOC, whether they did or not. They either regret not doing it or are so thankful they did.
