I only had the facility coordinator. They did a faboulous job getting all of my vendors and day of schedule together. The only reason I wished I had a wedding planner for was for decor. I was happy with what my venue offered but it would have been nice to have it a little more personalized in terms of room decor. I am a type of person that has all these idea but don’t know how to get there. A wedding planner would have been nice.

Depends on how much of a perfectionist you are Laughing

Just my $0.02:  just because things are already booked doesnt necessarily mean you’re done dealing with the vendors–if you’re willing to take on coordinating everyone and making sure everyone/everything shows up when/where it’s supposed to, the skip the planner.  $3800 seems a little pricey. Is that the price the venue’s planner quoted you, or is it a private wedding planner?  Some planners offer “a la carte” service where you only pay them commission based on what services you need help with.

@mrsjjohnson2b: Check with the venue-they may have an in-house caterer which would make things easier from an organization standpoint.  Otherwise, keep looking for other planners before basing your decision on one quote for $3800.
