(Closed) Do I need an outer envelope?

You mean “inner” envelope. Outer envelopes are where the address goes, so yes, you need that! But inner envelopes are usually used for more formal weddings and invitations because it helps to set the tone, but personally, I think inner envelopes are the biggest waste of money and I’m not sure I’ve ever received an invitation that came with an inner envelope, no matter how “fancy” the wedding.

Talk about killing trees…

I think the Brown is just fine! No one will notice that you dont have an extra envelope. I get stressed just thinking about invites 🙁

The invitation suite in the pic looks like it has a lot in it, so if envelopes aren’t included but address labels are, nope, you don’t NEED an outer envelope unless it would make you happy. Just make sure there is a space for you to put your return address as well as the address of the recipient.

Entirely up to you. We had inner envelopes so people would know who was invited to the wedding…

Eg. Outer envelope- Mr. J.M then address 

Inner envelope- J and Guest

If you have it somewhere on the invitation though then there is no need for it.

Oh I see it now, yeah it looks like it doesnt need any other envelope.
