IMO the dress should always skim the floor, so I personally would look for lower heels/flatter shoes.
An inch seems to be right. I wouldn't change shoes. Plus your alterations lady is right, you want it a little shorter when your barefoot. Especially if you are going to be in sand.
One other thing to keep in mind is during the day of the wedding, the dress will stretch a little and settle, so your dress could end up about 0.5 inch longer before you are ready for shoes.
HTH
I think if it's just for dancing, you'll be just fine. There may be things on the floor that would dirty it up, having such a small lift will be completely unoticeable when you're dancing and will cut down on stains.
Ps. Love the shoes!!!
@barbie86: I agree. What about TOM's? They have some cute bridal styles that are totally comfy!
I wouldn't be too worried. You could always get some flats if you feel like the dress is too high though... here are some similar at DSW
I think it will be fine! I had a similar problem. I had my dress hemmed for flats but it ended up being to 'stiff' with flats (it sort of sat on the floor rather than skim it) so i found some low heels and it kind of made my dress a little shorter than i liked but it all worked out!
see! you can even see my shoes a little bit.

@totheislnds: You are so cute!! That's exactly what I aiming for! (the all around cuteness) hehe. Can you post a front pic? love your dress, love your hair and you look absolutely adorable.
@brenda.m.fields: I think it looks just fine! as another persona said, the dress will set a little after a while. Also, if your going to be barefoot it will be just fine! and if you're going to be in the sand (maybe that's why you're barefoot?) you will actually be sinking a little bit in the sand so it will even be longer. You really need a mid point for both those looks to work well and i think one inch is perfect.
I think your dress and shoes are fine. If you hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have noticed!

So, I bought 2 inch heals because I thought that's what I needed and they looked great at the first fitting, but after the dress was taken in (at my second fitting) I started to think that the dress is now too short for the 2 inch heels. My seamstress thinks it's not a problem since I will be barefoot for the ceremony and this will only matter for fancing, unless it bothers me. I'm torn between being bothered and loving my shoes.
Anyway, do you think I should get shorter heels, and if so, I'm open to suggestions.
Budget is $300, and shoes must be ivory, lemon yellow, or hot pink.
No flipflips, no wedges, and no strappy ankles, please.
(the picture is taken from a downward angle, so it's a little hard to judge, but there is probably about an inch there in the front from floor to hem.
The shoes I have (and you all helped me decide on!):
