I don’t think you’d need to change colours. Purple, especially darker shades, goes really well with orange, as they’re complementary colours.

You can also add orange in small quantities as an accent if you want.

Orange and purple look lovely together!

I might rethink the silver, though…that might not work as well, given the shades in the bouquet.

Could you add some purple flowers into the bouquet to balance it out with your colours?

You could change the orange orchids to purple ones and change the ribbon to purple as well if you really want to go with the bouquet.

@isabelle_86:  Maybe take some of the yellow-toned flowers out of the bouquet. I think that’s what might not work with the silver. The orange flowers would be fine.

I agree that changing the ribbon to purple and adding some purple flowers (calla lillies, perhaps? They’re LOVELY in dark purple).

Here’s an orange and purple bouquet with purple callas:

More orange and purple loveliness:

Personally, I’m smitten with this one:

And here’s a photo that shows how striking an orange bouquet can be against purple bridesmaid dresses (granted, not your flowers–but at least you can see the lovely contrast in colors):

Purple and orange would look great together! I think the silver might look a bit off though, so maybe if you can swap that out for something else? Champagne, gold etc?

I would swap the silver for gold/champagne and like pp’s said orange and purple are a great combination.

I think you need to reconsider the bouquets…especially if you already have changed the wedding colors once. Lily has a lot of other bouquets to choose from and she will do custom orders…I am also using her shop for our silk bouquets. In fact I need to order from her pretty soon. She has some with purple, ivory and green that would look great with the purple and silver. My colors are plum, ivory, and silver. My BM’s dresses are plum, my dress is Ivory and Groom and Groomsmen will either wear gray or ivory….leaning toward ivory suits. There will be silver accents throughout my wedding. If you just want the orange here is one from same shop:

Here is my bouquet:RESERVED LISTING Wedding Bridal Bouquet Silk Flowers bouquets Decoration 17 pieces Package "Lily Of Angeles"

or this one if she can change out the white flowers for ivory:

Good luck. Let me know how the ordering goes with her shop.

We are having purple (dark purple bridesmaids dresses) but decorations range from dark purple to a silvery lilac colour. We are then having accents of a coppery orange here and there. I love your boquet, a similar one made me choose orange, and the bridesmaids chose the purple.

We had dark purple, lilac and silver invitations with copper ribbon./

Table decorations are jam jars decorated with lace and purple/lilac/copper ribbon with a mix of candles and flowers.

Chair covers will be white with lilac sash.

Balloons (FI love ballons) will be dark purple, lilac, and purlecent silver.

Our orange mostly comes from a beautiful copper ribbon i found and the flowers. So just a little to lift the purples, lilacs and silvers.

So far everyone has said it looks great.
