My fiancée and I are planning a semi-elopement in March in a clearing in the California Redwoods, and I’m going to Sarah Seven to try on gowns this weekend. The one I am mainly going to see is this one:
im absolutely in love with it and if I end up going with it, I would wear a gold leaf halo similar to the one the model is wearing and pearl drop earrings with gold settings. However, my e ring is a white gold oval halo with a diamond center and my wedding band is also white gold with alternating traditional sapphire and diamond pave.
is this okay? Or do I need to match my accessory metal to my rings? I’d rather not because I’m not actually a fan of white metal and prefer yellow gold, but I don’t want my look to be thrown off by mismatched metal.

it’s fine to mix metals, my e-ring is yellow and white gold. I wouldn’t see an issue with the headpiece and ring being different.

@plumplant: I think its ok that your e-ring is white gold. I would however stick with gold earrings and bracelet since your flower halo is gold….(so I’d match up all the other accessories in gold)

Mixing metals is fine. I had yellow gold and pearl earrings, strands of pearls with silver clasps for my necklace and bracelet, white gold sapphire RHR, platinum engagement ring, and a half white, half rose wedding band. It all looked fine together.

It’s totally fine to mix metals.

@plumplant: The rings are so tiny, I really don’t think there’d be a problem 🙂
