I am having a makeup person and a hair stylist come to my house the day of the wedding. The makeup artist owns her own business. My hair stylist works at a salon, but does not have to give them any of the money she is making doing our hair. The hair stylist is charging me $100 and my bridesmaids $75 dollars each. The makeup artist is charging me $125 and my bridesmaids $75 each. Do I and my bridesmaids all need to tip these girls? I feel bad having my bridesmaids shell out $150 for hair and makeup and then an additional $30 (20%) tip. And what if they don’t know to tip them? Do I need to cover it? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

From reading posts, I believe you do. Also, I have never thought not to… I was just going to tip what I felt is fair. If they don’t do a great job I will tip accordingly, and the Same thing if they do a great job and go out of their way to make me happy on my big day, I will probably tip a little better than usual.
I dont know if this helps, but I hope you find a good answer or at least advice on who pays what! haha. Good luck

I would especially if the person is not charging you extra to come to your house? It tipped myharm/makeup artist 25% but I was alssupper happy with her work that she did on me, my bridesmaids, mom, and Mother-In-Law. She didn’t charge to come to our suite. I just had to cover the parking fees for her and her two assistants.
If I was in your bridal party and paying for my hair and makeup I’d tip just out of habit.
