I am having a buffet style dinner. Salad, Pasta bar, chicken, 2 veggies.
Do I need to provide two forks, one for salad one for dinner? It’s a buffet so the guests will be getting their food all at one time.
Where I’m from most wedding receptions are informal, plastic utensils and plates. However, I now live in a different part of the country and I’ve been to enough weddings to know I need real plates and silverware or at least the high end disposable stuff. Everything has been a set plate, and not a buffet.
Also on a side note, do you think I should provide a steak knife for chicken marsala?

You’ll need three actually. One for salad, one for dinner, and presumably one for dessert, horizontally at the top of your setting. The idea is a fresh fork for each course, rather than lapping the dressing off your utinsel so your beef doesn’t taste like salad dressing.

Yes, you’ll need something similar to this:
If you want a more informal vibe you could try something like this:
And I honestly wouldn’t bother with steak knives for the chicken marsala.

Thanks! I think the second photo is what I’m looking for, minus the plates bc they will be at the buffet line. I’m having a dessert bar vs just slices of cake so I’m going to put some forks there people can take if they need them.
