Weddingbee boards

For ours, we did "John Smith" if he didn't have a wife/girlfriend at the time of sending it, but if he had a girlfriend we addressed it to "John Smith and Jane Jones", or "Jim and Lisa Brown" if it was a couple that was married.

We didn't put "and guest", just in case when we sent out the real invitations we were unable to invite guests for everyone single. We didn't want to paint ourselves into a corner! Better to invite fewer people on the save the dates, and then when the invitations go out to allow them to bring a guest. Chances are, if they don't have a significant other at the time of sending out the Save the Dates, they're not going to be scrambling to find someone to go with them to this wedding. Letting them know they can bring a guest at the time of the invitation is plenty of time to find a date (in my opinion!)
