I'm sorry you had such a bad experience! From what I've heard, some photographers take a very long time to get photos back, but I agree that sounds a little excessive, and it's very unprofessional that she won't communicate with you. I hope you are able to get the issue resolved!
I always think these people who join just to post negative reviews are rival companies, haha :)

I checked out her website.... and she updates her blog regularly. So thats kind of strange that she isn't getting back to you. Ejs4y8 had a similar experience with her photographer. I'm sorry you're going through this! :(
Have you tried actually visiting her office/home (if she works out of her home, anyway)? I think after six months its not unreasonable to do so.
I actually just sent her an email asking whats up in regards to your review! I'm always scoping out local photographers... and I really like her work. You said yourself she did a great job on your wedding day :) I'm curious to see if I get a response back from her!
Have you looked at your contract? Did it say anything about proofs & dates??
Yes in our contract it says we get the negatives approx 5 weeks after wedding. We met on Oct 4th to get our albums and negs., but negs were not ready. She told us she would courier to us that week.....well almost 2 months later and nothing. And like I said, no communication at all. My most recent attempt to reach her with both phone call and email requested them please by yesterday as we needed them for Christmas gifts and such, and still nothing. I feel frustrated, upset and taken advantage of. I'm done being nice!!!
And yes the pics were very nice, but it's really not worth the headache of it all right now! I believe she is very good at her craft, but the business side of things are a nightmare. My friends used Sakura and they were great!
And if you do hear back from her, let me know! Maybe it will kick things in gear if she is hearing that she is getting bad reviews

Keep nagging and calling her, have you told her you will take her to small claims court? Maybe that will get the ball rolling...

Just to give people in the Vancouver area the heads up!! I booked Jennifer Echols as my photographer in July 09. She did a good job on the day of the wedding, but it is now Dec09 and I still do not have the negatives for our pics!! Apparantly the fact that she has our $3900 does not require her to give us what we paid for! She has not returned any phone calls, texts and emails for the past couple months. I have reported to the better business bureau, and if it is not resolved, I will have to take her to small claims court which is not ideal, but if I have to I will!! I just want to let others know so that they do not fall into the same trap!
