A few of you know my situation with my horrible alterations lady. She first of all took the dress in too far and accused me of gaining weight..which I didn't because I was still the same weight and dress size. I double checked on it. Cause I was worried about it..cause she's like..'WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING??!!' cause the dress didn't fit at all when she took it in. She continued to badger me about my weight on several occasions. And I never gained any weight in the first place. She let it back out some and it was fitting better AND SHE STILL badgered me about my weight!! She cut down the appearance of my hands(more than once) because I keep my nails short.  She's like, "Well, you should be sure to wear false nails on you day cause those are unattractive"!! She called David's Bridal WHITE TRASH and my dress came in a David's Bridal bag. She would badger me with personal questions. After leaving in tears everytime I saw this lady..I just said to heck with it, I will go with someone else. I told her we would take our business somewhere else and she got very very angry with me that I wanted to take it somewhere else. I knew the dress was unfinished..but I needed to get away from this lady. The last time I tried it on, there was NO hole on the side of the dress. WHEN I GOT IT HOME, THERE WAS A BIG HOLE ON THE SIDE OF THE DRESS THAT WASN'T there before. When I picked it up..it was in the DB bag and she didn't want me to see the dress, she just insisted we pay her or else. We started to write a check..and she said, I want cash. We told her all we had were checks and she became threatening when we were trying to give her a check instead of cash! I said, let me see my dress first! And she said, no and grabbed it from me insisting we pay her cash only. I am guessing maybe because she works out of her home and may be avoiding taxes? That is the only explanation I could think of. Ok, so being the nice person that I am..we made a debit and flipping paid her without seeing my gown cause I wanted out of there cause things were becoming escalated. So, I get it home, I FIND A BIG HOLE on the side of the dress. NOT ONLY THAT..THERE ARE SEVERAL STAINS on the dress. It looked like she spilled COFFEE on my white dress as there is a HUGE BROWN STAIN on the front of the bodice!!!! And on the back looks like a stain from what appears to be a sauce of some kind like spaghetti. There is heavy soil stains on the top of my dress and inside as well!!! She TOTALLED MY DRESS only cause I wanted to go with someone else because of her unprofessionalism and rudeness! PLEASE STAY AWAY from her! She's horrible!!!! And I am sad because this beautiful gown is stained and in need of repairs. Really sad and angry!! Just wanted to warn anyone else from going to her!!!!

Thanks bees! I have been oxy-cleaning for a couple hours now and luckily got some of those stains out! Thank God for oxy-clean! But here is the pic of the side of the dress where there is a big hole..that wasn't there on my last visit. I don't know why she would do that..it's horrible! It had nothing to do with taking it in cause it wasn't there last time.., you know? Why a gaping hole right there? Why would anyone?

Sorry about triple post here..sorry! Just wanted to say I am worried to hang this up because I am worried it may rip in half where the hole is..it could definitely happen I am sure if not careful with it!:(. Cause the weight of the bottom of the dress..if hung up..it could def rip in half, no doubt about that I don't think:(.

Jeez! Do you know if there's another shop that can repair the hole? I'm sorry that you're dealing with this. No bride deserves that. I agree that you should report her to the BBB.

So, luckily I found another lady that said she would fix this dress for me. She was much more professional and it's not out of her home. It's a legit business. And she didn't ask ANY personal questions at all, she's all about business. She also said I got screwed on the pricing. She said what that other lady charged me was way expensive and that she can't sew either. She said, "Some people think they can sew, and they think cause they have a sewing needle, they can sew but they can't."  She said that other people have come to her after seeing Betty cause she charges way too much and for less quality. People have gone to her and she said she charges about half of what Betty does. After looking at the gown, she said "What? It looks like she took this in and back out again?". I said, yes. She took it in too far the first time. And that's when she said she can't sew at all. She also suggested I get it cleaned and that should help with the soil and stains on there. So, hopefully..my dress will be somewhat salvaged and back to normal towards the end. I am just glad I found more of a professional and not someone who is so mean and so nosey with my personal life. Ahh, a professional! nice! I hated being under a microscope everytime I would go to her house. She wanted to know everything about me! Like, can't this be about business? There were other things that she said to me that hurt very much on a very personal level..but won't really share them here cause it just sucks to repeat the words:(. But I have a professional now so ahhh..no more Betty and I just feel so good about that! So, now I can move on and get married already!:).
