We actually had Black Eyed Peas on the do not play list too, and our DJ played “I’ve Got a Feeling,” and we actually ended up loving it in the moment hehe

My strongly emphasized DNPs were anything by John Mayer and Chris Brown.  No misogynistic jerks at my wedding, thank you very much!

@allieluvs21:  LOL, we do too!  We have even left the room when the song has come on before!  But at the wedding, we just laughed about the “Do it. And do it, and do it do it do it” part, and decided it was talking about the honeymoon lol.  I’m def not suggesting playing it, but in the moment, it doesn’t really matter if something random happens 🙂

The Wedding Wobble! Mambo No. 5, etc. I’m not a fan of anything cheesy old or with coreographed dances.

…you know, sometimes bad music makes for a great party….it gives everyone something to rise up together against and really brings a group of people together…plus, and I might get a load of crap for this, never underestimate the power of disco…as long as the Baby Boomers roam this Earth, disco will not die and I can tell you with certainty that most of them know how to trip the light fantastic since it occupied every Saturday night of their 20’s!  My Dad and I rocked out to the BeeGees at my cousin’s wedding, I could not believe it, Dad was Fred Astaire to that crap!

Agree with those saying sometimes you end up having funny or good moments during songs you dislike – I absolutely HATE the song Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO, but it played at our wedding and a giant hilarious dance circle formed, even my grandparents ended up rocking out in the middle of the dance circle at one point, it was amazing!

Celine Dion.  Mambo No. 5.  I also asked that they do not play Usher’s OMG.  I’ve heard it so many times that I want to puke.  <-Seriously.  lol

Anything Disco. That genre should stay in the past.
