Sorry, there are no users yet.
We booked a block of rooms with the Charleston Marriott back in March for our Oct 30th wedding. The sales manager suggested the complimentary social block saying that we could increase the initial block of 10 rooms once those were booked. I called two weeks to check on the room block and she said only 8 rooms had been booked so she could not increase it but that she would contact me once the 2 rooms needed were reserved. Yesterday I received a text message from a guest informing me that when she called the hotel to reserve her room, she was told that our group rate is no longer available. I immediately called the hotel only to be told by the sales manager that she could not increase our room block because there was a Citadel home game that weekend and their rooms were booking up. When I reminded her that I spoke to her two weeks prior and she did not mention anything, her only response was that she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. So now, LESS THAN 2 MONTHS before the wedding and after invitations have been mailed, we are scrambling to find another hotel that can accommodate our guests. All of our guests are coming in from out of town! I have called at least 20 hotels in the last two days and have been greeted with "sorry we are almost sold out for that weekend". I'm really freaking out!
