Do our men really want boudoir photos ?

I originally wanted to do it for my fiance, however.. he has only looked at the (sexy)photos from one of my photoshoots that I had done for him ONCE. I am not sure it would be money well spent… or if he would rather just have a handwritten letter/love note from me!!! I think the more important thing is to show him you’re thinking of him… it doesn’t necessarily have to be with a sexy photoshoot!!!

I’m pretty sure most men don’t even know about boudoir photos. I think it’s unnecessary, especially if money is tight. It can be allocated to something more important like the wedding itself, or honeymoon.

Plus, from what I’ve read on Wedding Bee, some men do not like the idea of their future wife wearing lingerie in front of another man. Even if it’s a professional photographer.

Like you said, it’s not something you’re going to display in your house. Your husband would probably look at it every once in a blue moon, and you’d have to hide it away in the closet.

I forgot to mention that… @sprinkledonut … my fiance would not be impressed if I had taked nearly nude/sexy photos with a male photographer! It would definitely have to be a woman… but why put those thoughts/ideas in his mind on our wedding day???

Mine would not appreciate it!!! He would appreciate a sexy night in the bedroom more than me parading in my undies infront of a total stranger. He is pretty conservative in an un conservative way lol

I think it depends on the guy.

I know my guy would.

We have talked about a tasteful piece, for the bedroom. We saw a really cool artistic shot of a girl from the back and thought it would be neat to have. But because it would be an art piece, not just a book full of photos or something.

I think each man will vary greatly on this. What turns one mans crank might not turn another’s!

I asked dh about this once.  He didn’t care for the idea.  Pics of me all dressed up to go out do it for him.  To each his own.

I plan on gettin some and so put out the feelers with my FI and he LOVED the idea. As in, swooped me off in the middle of the day to the bedroom for even suggesting it lol. He wouldnt mind me having a male photographer any more than a male doctor I dont think, they should be professional. To each their own!

I think mine would as long as it was tasteful and I had a female photographer lol. Though maybe the money would be better spent on some nice lingerie ? 😉

I’m considering doing it for either our wedding or maybe one year wedding anniversary. I think my FI would love it. Although, I couldn’t imagine hanging the photos in our home, that seems a bit over the top. Perhaps in his home office.

I wouldn’t use my wedding photog as he’s a male, and that would make me personally feel uncomfortably. But, there is an amazing women photographer locally who specializes in pinup style shoots that I would love to use for something like that.

I can’t help but laugh at the typo in the OP’s post: “my son to be hubby”

My DH used to ask me to have them done for him for his birthday or some other occasion, but I never did. I wish I had don’t it before having a baby! Oh well.

I think men who have a job that means they are going to be physically apart for long periods of time (Example: Military) would appreciate such a thing and there are female photographers. 😛 Otherwise unless he asks for it then he would probably much rather just see you in person then look at a photo.

Nope, I don’t see the point. My DH said it was weird and not something he would want, and I see why.

AndysCraftsNmore:  My husband was like, Please, please do not ever get those photos taken. That’s personal and you don’t need a phtographer to capture sexy. FWIW.
