My FMIL did because she wanted to keep part of her bouquet and still wanted real flowers. She only had a few synthetic ones.

@Emmacg03:  I didn’t keep mine in any of the weddings I was a bm.  I think synthetic are nice because you can resuse them.

I haven’t decided if i’m going to have my bm’s carry a red rose for our rose ceremony, a maraca lol, or a silk stem.  I already have the silk stems in a vase by my bed…and if we go that route I’d take them back to keep them displayed.

@Emmacg03:  I think they can do whatever they want with them. Some girls might hold onto them for a few days. Others will probably throw them out. Lots of brides use the BM and bridal bouquets as centerpieces on the head table though.

My bouquet and my girls’s bouquets will be mostly real roses but we will have some fake tulips interspersed. My favorite flower is the tulip but they are out of season when we’re getting married so we’ll do fake. My florist has shown me some of her bouquets that have fake flowers mixed in with the real and they look amazing. I would have never been able to tell.

Yep you can. Its a good idea if you want to use a flower that is out of season and really expensive at the time.

My sister did real flowers for herself and the groom, and had artificial for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, corsages and centerpieces.

I did real for everyone except the groomsmen, whose bouts my mom and I made myself out of peacock feathers.  I did not have floral centerpieces.

I did for my first wedding because the blue hydrangeas were delivered Ian’s they were green. My step mom who did my flowers ended up using fake hydrangeas with real roses. They turned out great.

I think as long as they are good quality it wouldn’t be noticable!
