I am modelling for a prom fashion show this weekend and I have been noticing that the dresses I am wearing fit closer to my real dress size, where as the dresses I tried on for my wedding were 1-2 sizes bigger than my usual size
Are prom dresses closer to normal sizes or are they too meant to be bigger?
If so, I am worried my wedding dress will be WAY too big. (They did not have my size to try on when I ordeRed, the one I tried on was huge)

Sizing depends on the designer and varies greatly. You can check the designers web site to see what the measurements are for the size. Remember that many times store sample dresses get tried on so often that they can stretch out and are sometimes made to actually fit more than one size.

Every line will be different. I’m typically a street size 12, and I tried on some sample 10’s that fit, lots of 16’s that fit, and one 28 that I couldn’t squeeze into… so it varies widely.

usually wedding dresses are “bridal sizing” which tend to be bigger in the number. Prom dresses should be approximately street sizing
