mine didn't match. i think as long as it's the same feel/color scheme than it's fine. those two look pretty together!
No thats not weird at all!!! My bouqets (bridesmaids) will be sunflowers and there wont be any sunflowers at the reception!!
This is so funny! I have similar bouquets for my purple dressed bridesmaids...and I want pink orchids submerged in water at my reception. And I was very worried about not matching as well.
My solution to my problem is that I am going to add a little pink to my bridesmaids bouquets. And I do believe that I heard David Tutera say that color differentiation is a good thing, and not everything has to match! Good luck!!
Alot of brides bouquets don't match their centerpeices. Just as long as the colors & feel flow, you'll be fine.
Technically my bouquet was the only place where I used hydrangeas :)
I think they need to blend, but definitely not match. I actually like the variety of the two looks. Rock on!
I was just thinking this to myself today! Glad to see I am not the only one thinking of going this route. Thanks for the info Bees!
color yes.. at least one flower should repeat in my opinion. Or else the guests will think they walked into different couple's wedding ;)
Not at all and both pictures look great. I am having orchids for both, but completely different types.
I don't think mine are going to match either. It shouldn't be a big deal :)
mine aren't going to match- i'm an ivory/goldish bouquet to carry, and then the reception flowers are going to be ivory/pinkish peach....... it's a long story, but i decided i should not spend more money to change it, and I am not going to worry about it. And I doubt anyone else will either.
I just hope it isn't going to look Horrible :)
Love the bouquet! I'm using the same colors too! About the matching, I think what you have displayed would look good together.
Mine were the same color scheme, but didn't keep the same flowers between the bouquet and the centerpieces. I actually did the submerged orchids in pink like you showed there. 7 cylinders on each table and a circle of pink votives around it.

So I am attaching a picture of my bouquet and then what I'd like for centerpieces at the reception-submerged orchids. However, my bouquet doesn't have orchids. Is that too weird? Should I have some orchids put in my bouquet? There are very few flowers that hold up underwater. The orchids would be the same purple as the roses in the bouquet.
