Hi Bees! I found and purchased my wedding shoes and they are FAB (if I do say so myself)! Unfortunately, they are also a tad (a LOT) snug in the toe area. I was thinking of buying a shoe stretcher and just doing it myself at home. I’m hoping that I can actually stretch it out more than the shoe repair guy can since I have months til the wedding.
So what I need to know is whether this is a good idea? Do shoe stretchers work or should I let a professional handle this?

I was told to wear my shoes with a pair of socks, start thin and get thicker. I have been wearing them while doing my hair in the morning and they are in fact becoming less and less tight.
I don’t know anything about shoe stretchers though.

I’ve tried shoe stretchers and they never seem to work that great. I’d let a cobbler do that instead.

They do not work well at all. Instead what what shoe stretchers do it stretch in all the wrong places, generally around the middle of your foot–not the toe. I would try wearing them with socks several times until they stretch–that way they’ll be formed to your own feet!
