I really love the idea of STD postcards and found an Etsy seller I would love to use for ours. However, I was wondering if any past postcard-STD brides could share their experience with me? Did you find later that many of them were just tossed away because they looked too much like junk mail or didnt stand out since not in an addressed envelope?
Thanks for your help!

i used post cards and i think most everyone got them! (and they didnt even have our picture on them) i also have recieved 2 STD post cards in the past few months and they are hanign on my fridge 🙂 i always check the mail pretty closely though, im always afraid things will get lost or stuck in the stacks of coupons/junk mail we get so i never throw it away without going through it carefully.

We used post cards STD, we had a handful of friends who never got them, or got them and didn’t see them…we will never know the truth….

I’ve never received one as a guest. However if it is mailed like a card or postcard, it should not be mistaken at all for junk mail.

I didn’t do printed cards, but the thing about Save-The-Date Cards is that most of your guests will know that they will be invited, so they will be keeping an eye out for them.
I look at everything before I toss it into the recycling bin, I’m too afraid I’ll lose something important.

We did post cards and so far it sounds like everyone is getting them without a problem!!

I put the Save-The-Date Cards on the fridge with magnets, but I really apprecaited the magnet Save-The-Date Cards. I tossed the paper ones once the wedding was over but the magnets remain 🙂

Can you not put them in an envelope? The postage isn’t that much more expensive. I really like getting colored envelopes in the mail!
