I need some help! I am having a very hard time finding the right shade of green for chair sashes and table runners. I finally thought I found a place but when I went to add the table runners to my cart they were sold out. I called the company and they said they are discontinuing the color! Figures! They still have the chair sashes, but is it ‘wrong’ to have a different color table runner? My original plan was pastel green sashes and runner and then pink napkins. Would it be weird to have 3 colors on the table? I definitely do not want pink sashes and runners as I don’t want the tables to overpower my dress 😉
Feel free to share any pictures if you had mismatched sashes and runners! TIA!!

bubbie11: I guarantee that your dress will not be overwhelmed by ANYTHING in the room. There is no law that runners and sashes must match, just as there is no law that you have to have sashes at all. Name me one other social event that uses chair sashes (or covers)! Somehow the wedding industry has convinced brides that they are a necessary item.

julies1949: You are very right about chair covers! It wasn’t in the original plan, but the chairs are not pretty and need to be covered. Plus they are almost a deep maroon color so it doesn’t match at all! My dress is pink, so I was concerned if I did pink sashes it would be too much. I don’t want bubble gum explosion!

I don’t think things have to match that much as long as it all looks good together. We went with a different color chair sash than our table overlays. They didn’t have the matching ones and even when they said they could try and get them, I liked the more neutral tone we went with for the chairs.
Here’s our mock up:

Ms_Purple: Thank you! This gives me a bit of hope. It looks nice with all of the different colors!
