I’m normally a fan of pumps, but I’m pretty dead set on flats for my wedding day. I’ll be spending most of it on my feet dancing and talking to people, so I think I should wear a pair of pretty flats.
This is the dress, but I’ll have a black sash instead. I’m not sure that the boldness of the black sash would look right with the pastel shade of blue. Maybe I should try to find blue flats in a bolder shade of blue instead? What do the bees think?
And the shoe:

I think the shoes match, and the color will work with the black – the color combo reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, if that’s alright with you.

@CorvusCorax: I love the flats! So cute.

@lazy: Ha! Alice in Wonderland! I never thought of it that way before, but yeah, I see what you’re saying and I dig it!
…I just found these shoes and love them as well. My mom likes them better with the dress and suggests that I have the ribbons dyed blue if I go this route!

@CorvusCorax: I love the lace heels with the dyed ribbon idea!!! You can always get the flats for reception or emergency shoes? Either way if you get both you won’t need to worry about hem issues since you have a tea length dress.

If you decide to go the white kitten heel route, I would just suggest buying a blue satin ribbon to replace it. If you dye the ribbon, you could risk the dye running onto your shoes – plus buying the ribbon would be a lot easier than dyeing a small length of ribbon.
