The dress is gorgeous. The hair, for me, every time I see braids like that my first thought is a German/Austrian girl yodeling as she shepherds her flock of sheep on the side of the mountain. Lol. I can't help it. I think an updo (slightly messy) would look stunning, just not the braid.
The hairstyle is a little too hippie or beach wedding. I don't think it goes with your dress at all.
I agree that the updo is nice, but not the braid. I loved the braided look too but decided against it and I'm so glad I did. Your dress looks formal and romantic and I don't think a braid fits in with that.
Well the wedding is on a beach...but I see your point...maybe something like this.
i like that second version better with your dress. But i'd worry about putting so many pieces outside of the updo, since you'll probably have a big of a breeze @ the beach. If you can moosh those pics together, i'd say you have a winner. :)
I really like the idea of the braided look esp. for a beach wedding! I LOOVE this one Jessica Alba did-
I like the one with Lauren Conrad, except it's a little falling apart and I think it would look sort of messy with beachy wind.
I love the Jessica Alba one, probably because the braids are smaller and more elegant. They are like an accessory there instead of the main event.
I like the Jessica Alba one. I think your dress is pretty formal and you need a more polished updo.

I wanted to see if these styles worked together. It's going to be hot since it will be a day wedding so I dont think having my hair down is an option. If it doesn't I'd rather know now so I can look for more updo's. I am not set in stone on the braided look but I do like it alot.
