I was going through Google Docs to make sure that we sent invites to everyone on the list, but for some reason decided to go back to a previous version of a guest list we had made this summer.  That's when I noticed that a ton of names that FH wants to invite never made it on the Save the Date list (which is what I was working on).

Then I remember it was HIS responsibility to get the addresses and names for HIS friends.  And he never did, and I guess they just fell off.

Now I'm scrambling to order more paper so I can letterpress some additional invites for these last people.  FH would have *never* in a million years noticed or caught this, and I just get so annoyed sometimes because I feel like WE have to triple check all the details, because they don't notice anything!

FH has been super helpful with stuff (he's making placeholders out of cork), but I really wish he was more details-oriented.

Is your partner good with the details part of the wedding planning?

FI has made a guest book, chalkboards, and several other projects for the wedding. On top of that, he has a spreadsheet where he logging our budget and plugs in every expense - all of our receipts are saved right next to the computer. The addresses and names of every Save-the-Date and invitation have now been triple checked and are ready to go out.

The man is a wedding planning saint and I'm SO glad because he makes up for my lack-of-detail-oriented-ness.

@aliavenue:  WOW!  That's awesome.  I've been plugging receipts back into our spreadsheets, but I'm not on top of it as your man is!  Kudos to him!

My fiance likes to be involved in decision making and opinions.  However he has a very demanding and time consuming career, and works 50 hours a week often.  He hasn't yet even written brief descriptions of his attendants for our wedding website and that's the only thing he has to do besides picking out suits and ties!
