I was wondering how many bees out there have the same problem. i have been on almost every type of birth control there is since i was 17 but im 27 now. Im on the pill and have never really been told by a Doc that i have irregular, they just say oh so many things can effect your period …but it happens to me often. about a year ago i started skipping periods. at first i thought i was prego but no. it always had to be something else. exersice, diet, stress, whatever. It hasent happened for a long time and then this month. boom missed my period. and im not prego. its so frustrating when this happens. at first i had to take a test every time this happened. so this time i thought well maybe im not… but you cant help but think what if this is the time i am. Some times i wonder if something is wrong with me. i get regular paps. (they tell me everything is fine) but cant help but think this. what if i cant have kids? idk
any bees have this problem? or have lived with this and it ended up being not a big deal?

This happened to me a lot when I was in college. I attributed partially to the BCP I was on at the time, plus stress and bad habits of being in school then too. For whatever reason when I switched to a tri-phasic BCP (ortho-tri-cyclen) and finished up school, I’m now very regular.
It was very frustrating to me too. There were a few times were I had no period for three months at a time! It always freaked me out a little but it was never anything (I tested too just to be sure).

Technically you’re not having a real period if you’re on birth control pills. It’s withdrawal bleeding and after awhile, your body gets used to it. My aunt told me she was on them for like 30 years and some months she didn’t have a period and others she would have like one day of spotting.

I’ve always had ULTRA irregular periods, and we got KU on our first cycle trying!

Mine are always regular especially while on BC. Even while I was off BC they were still very regular. Eff periods, the hurt and make me sad 🙁

I have been irregular since I was a teen, I can and have skipped up to 6 months without seeing a single sign of a period. Other times I will have extreme PMS symptoms and still no period. I’ve never taken any kinds of pills to regulate it as I didnt want the side effects that come with it.
Of course I cannot speak for your specific situation but I have a child and every check up the doc says having more children, if I so choose, wont be an issue.
