I'd ask the bride what she wants. For my SIL's wedding, she wanted my husband to be there so he knew when to roll out the aisle runner and stuff.
It would probably be helpful to be there on friday, especially if they have any special requests. Also, it is risky flying in day of, what if something went wrong and you guys got delayed?!
Totally ask the bride. She may have a totally different timeline for her wedding and may need your FH there Friday.

My fiance was just asked to be an usher at a wedding in May. Does he have to be there on Friday or can we fly in on Saturday morning?
We're trying to salvage as many vacation days as possible for our honeymoon so just curious if he has to be there Friday!
Any guidance is appreciated!
Thanks!!
