(Closed) do we have to do the traditional bride/groom family on each side…

If we did that the grooms side would have the front row and maybe a few friends behind. My mothers catholic wedding they were fine with mixing things up and there shouldnt be a problem now 15 years later to keep things open and flexible. This is however church dependant.

It’s YOUR wedding. Do what you want! Usually after so many people get there they tell you to sit wherever you want anyway, especially if you have uneven ammounts of people coming for each side [ex: you have 50 and he has 100].

Let people sit comfortably and where they choose! It will probably split up by families anyway, but don’t let it stress you out…

You can do it however you’d like. We are having the ushers tell people to sit where they’d like and say the bride and groom are not doing sides as they’d like the two familes to join together as one.
