Only if there is cake. I love cake but am indifferent about candy.

If you are trying to cut back, I’d cut out favors all together.

Have some sort of dessert (like cake or cupcakes) – but don’t replace dessert with candy.

I agree with PP. There should be a traditional dessert of some sort. If you have cake, you can pass on the cupcakes. I wouldn’t have no cake and just candy.

@blessings:  If there is no cake I would forego the candy bar before the cupcakes. You want some kind of “real” dessert to end the meal. The candy bar is just an extra.

If you’re having cake AND cupcakes and the candy, yeah… nix the cupcakes.

@blessings:  You don’t haaaaafta have them, but it would be nice to have some kind of cake/dessert other than candy.

@blessings:  there’s needs to be some type of dessert. Why not just have a cake (or cupcakes )  and no candy bar?

yes, I agree with @luvmesumhim:

@blessings:  have cake and candy, no cupcakes…but do not have just candy and no cupcakes. It has been my experience that cupcakes are more expensive than just a regular buttercream iced cake

@blessings:  Do whatever you want. It’s your wedding. No matter what you do there will always be at least one person who doesn’t like something. If you like candy, serve candy, but be sure to vary what you have so it is more dessert like. Maybe have some fresh fruit, marshmallows, and grahams in your candy containers and a crock of melted chocolate?

I would just stick with one or the other. If you think about it your guests will probably already be full from dinner. Do you really think that they’ll scoff down cake/cupcakes , candy on top of a big dinner? Probably not or very few will. Plus drinks fill you up a bit too.
