Ok, so I'm just curious if my husband and I are totally crazy or if anyone else out there does this too...

Somewhere along the way I started calling my husband Stinky. I don't remember when or why, but now the list goes on......

Stinkalicious, stink rag, stink chops, stinker, stinky, stink bomb, stinky cheese.... Elspeulador - my mexican name, because we love traveling to Mexico, lol.

Do jerkface and goober count?  :)  Not really pet names but when one of us is being ridiculous, jerkface and goober usually get thrown around.

We definitely have pet names. I'm Panda and he's Bear. Only my best friend knows about it though--we definitely don't use them in public :).

We rarely use each others real names. Seriously. I only call him Alex when I'm referring to him in conversation with someone else. Same for him. Otherwise, it's monkey, minky, pinky, dinkle do, minkle...the list goes on and on lol.

He calls me Honey Bunny all the time, because of the cafe robbery scene in Pulp Fiction. I call him dork, dweeb, nerd, etc. because he's a huge ole nerd. lol

@Mrs.KMM: I call DH jerkface too!

@Jerseygirl23: Actually, one time I was drinking with his friends and I woke up the next morning, and I remembered that I had told one of them, but I couldn't remember which one...luckily, whoever it was kept their mouth shut! FI would die if all his friends knew :).

oh yes. Who do you think calls me Peach Tree? yes, that's an actual nickname. Along with cookie face, cream puff, miss wiggle pants, and tootsie pop (as I write these, I wonder if he's just hungry alot?)

I call him love bunny, Mr., Mr. pants, and chou-chou. In public. And he doesn't even cringe. Anymore :)

@zippylef: Awww...I love honey bunny!  My Dad calls me Mom that on occasion and I think it's so cute!

My husband calls me hon, babe, babes, the normal.

I call him Boo Boo, Boo Boo Head, Snoopy, hon, honey, etc.

When I think he's acting like a ding dong, I'll tell him to not be a Dickie.  And if he's in a bad mood, he immediately starts to smile.

I call FI "Cromag" or "Mr. Magnon." People who don't understand our humour think I'm being mean because it's in reference to Cro Magnon which were the early humans, but it's actually more a play on the fact that he is a manly man. He's super testosterone driver so when he gets a temper or acts agressive ("Me smash box, make work") I just say, "Okay Cromag.." lol.

Other than that we call each other all sorts of weird things when we're being silly. Mostly it's just "babe" and "baby," but we also through the occassional "snuggly-wuggly muffin" "snuckums-bums" "poo-head" "stinky" etc. Yea...we're mature...haha.

    Face

    Stinky

    Fart

    Stinky Butt

    Butt

______ Face as in.. Hippo Face, Fart Face, Loser Face, Jerk Face

    Butternut

I call him, depending on the situation, lazy asswipe or inconsiderate jerkwad.

    JOKES! ;)

I don't really call him anything other than the usual stuff (ie, sweetie).

We have soo many names that we call each other, we will roate from name to name, calling each other one for like a month, and then switch to something else.

I call him: Jack O Lantern, Honey Bunches of Oats, and BooBoo (like from Yogi Bear)

He calls me: Pugsly, Frogger, and Munchkin.

Don't know if anyone else does this, but we will text each other messages saying "you smell like poop" or "you look like a terd"  I don't know why we do this :)

ILikePink: I'm with ya...I stop dead in my tracks when I hear my FI say, "Kristina"...he only calls me by my name when we're in a huge crowd of people because it stands out more than "baby cakes" lol.  We call each other: Baby cakes, Hot cakes, Honey Cakes, Sexy Cakes, Baby...not sure where the "cakes" came into play, but I love it!  I call my mom "Mummy" (digging into my Irish roots, I guess) and FI started calling my mom "Mummy cakes"...too cute!

When he's in a rare form (like guys get into), I'll call him "Whack-a-doo" and "Punk".

Um, yes! I'm not even going to write what he calles me, because it's super embarassing to admit it, but thankfully it is only used around the house when we're alone.

I don't have many names for him. Sometimes I call him "jerk face", "stinky bum," or "Handsome." Very original and mature, I know :)

We also make up really ridiculous songs about one another and they have really caught on in our house and we sing them all the time.

I usually call him a Punk or Baby, Sweetie, Pain in the Butt, Butthead.

@ILikePink: Holy shizz!!! I thought DH & I were the only ones to call eachother Face.

It started because I would always tell him, "Look at your handsome face!"...and it kind of went from there. So we use Face, Facey, Papa/Mama Face, Ass Face (not nice, I know).

I call him jerkface too...but I guess we always call each other love.

In public is the only time we call eachother by our real names, and at that it's only Sam and Mer. Not our full names :)

We have lots of stupid nicknames for each other. It all started when he developed an obsession with blueberry muffins, and said, "You're my blueberry muffin." Then he shortened that to muffin. From that spawned puffin, puffy, puff, fluffy, fluff, fluffin, fluffernut, puffernut, pufferfluff, flufferpuff, mcmuffin, and so on...

There's also "fatty," which spawned fatty mcfatfat, fat face, fatster, fatty cakes and fat ugly penguin. And "tuba" which spawned tubby and most recently, stubbs mctubbs. I call him "baby" sometimes, which turned into bubby, and bubster.

Since we got married, he calls me "woofer" as a substitute for wife, and I call him "hubster" for husband. Also, hubby, and hubber.

There are nicknames. My favourite is when one of us is being cranky the other will growl (imitating the other). Usually snaps us out of our crankiness.

Haha I love the names- I think it's really endearing and makes our relationship more special! He calls me woman or wifey- I guess those aren't strange. There's another one from a Stephen Lynch song that I can't post in public :P. I call him Lovey.

We mostly just say weird things to each other. Like I'll call him from another room and I'll say "BABE?" And he'll yell back "POOP!"

    We're sooo mature.

My FI calls me "froo" sometimes.  When we first started dating I referred to a starbucks drink as "froo froos" which then got shortened to "froos."  Then he said I was his froos. I guess I could be upset that he's calling me a latte, but I really like lattes, so I won't. :D

I just call him the boring "hunny." I very seldom call him by his name.  And we are frequent users of "baby."

We call each other "Rude" or some variation, like Rudest, Ruderat, Ruder McRudington, etc, etc. Our friends think it's strange, but it works for us. We're just not the sweetie/honey/sugar pie type.

We have soooooooooooooooo many nicknames. I really, really like nicknames and can't help but call him random things. We started by calling each other babe, normal, but then one day is morphed into schbab and we call each other that the majority of the time. I also call him kitty, kitten, cat, dovey, lovey, skittle, cake. He calls me bird, puddim (??), pie. We mostly stick to schbab =)
