I am definitely always up early on the weekends before him. My daughter and I get up about 730am and have breakfast and catch some Playhouse Disney. :) I think we are both used to my old schedule still where we had to be early birds. FI would sleep till 1030am, but I think the guilt of us already being up gets to him or maybe because our daughter is screaming and playing and he might as well get up. LOL :)
We got alot of snow here last night so we definitely waiting till the roads are clear to go anywhere.
I'm the same as you, ALWAYS the first up on the weekends (when he's not working)
FI gets up every day during the week, though, @ 4:45 and me not until 6:45. He left for work this morning at the same time but tomorrow he'll be off with me! Yay!! :) I love spending time with my hunny!! But, if he were to be off on the weekends...I would def. be up way before him!
We both get up at 5am M-F, and I still naturally wake up at that time on the weekends. I'm usually still able to fall back asleep for another 2 hrs but I'm definitely up and at em before 8am no matter way.
FI sleeps like a log on the weekends, not budging until well after I'm up. By the time her rolls out of bed, the coffee's made, the dogs have been out and are fed, and I'm well into the paper or a TV show.
During the week, he gets up first & then I get up after he leaves for work. Then, we get up on the weekends at the same time so we can have coffee together since we don't get to during the week.
I'm always up earlier on the weekends. I have a hard time sleeping in past 8, 8:30. He'd sleep until 2pm if I didn't drag his ass out of bed by 11. :)
@ing2foru: We're getting a coffee maker for the wedding! :) We're going to start drinking coffee together on the weekends, too!! I try not to drink that stuff too much because I know it stains your teeth. FI just wants it because he LOVES the smell of it...haha, but I know he'll drink it with me with the right amount of sugar & creamer! :)
I usually always get up before him on weekends. He would love to be able to sleep until noon, but mean wifey doesn't usually let him do that :P
@Lees, what I do for that is after I drink the coffee, I use Hydrogen Peroxide. I just swish it around & I have my own teeth whitener. Found that tip on the internet a while back.
FI didn't drink coffee until I made him try some with a flavored creamer, now he LOVES it! He is always on the lookout for new flavors.
He gets up earlier to go to work during the weekday. On weekend Im up first about 7 because I can get some wedding, emails checked, coffee going that kind of thing and I dont seem to need as much sleep as he does and he will roll out of bed about 9, but only because I make him get up!
I'm always the first one up on any day. This man can sleep forever. Sometimes I poke him to make sure he's ok..lmao!
Wow, I guess I'm the only one who sleeps later. He just needs less sleep then I do and I use the weekends to catch up.
I'm always up first, usually to walk the dog. He could sleep for hours after I get up, but he normally works on the weekends so he's up about 20 mins after me.
@kate6214 Im right there with you! I always sleep more then Teddy...he plays on the internet or Xbox and makes coffee all before I wake up! I think he likes that little time that he gets to himself...and i sure enjoy that extra sleep!
its 11 here, and i just woke up . :) FI is so funny...he tends to wake up earlier than me on saturdays (he woke up at 10:00 he said today) and then on Sundays, i usually wake up earlier..like 9:00 and he stays asleep till like 11. ha!
we both use the weekends to "catch up" on our sleep! ( i hope thats true that you can! )
I always get up first, weekdays or weekends. Even when he worked I was usually out the door before he was out of bed. Now he gets up early two days a week for an 8AM class, but I'm usually gone by 6:30 to hit the gym on the way to work.
On the weekends, I like to get up somewhere near my normal time and feed the cat, eat breakfast, drink some decaf and read the paper. It's my 'me' time.
I'm lazy :P We both sleep waaay in on the weekends lol He's super tired by the time Friday rolls around and we end up sleeping in until 11-12. Sometimes I wake up before him (generall Sunday), but I just lay in bed and keep myself occupied with my thoughts and he generally will wake up within 40 mins or so. I just like being in bed with him :) and I hate waking up early lol
Ha, I'm usually up first, but we're both lazy-bones on the weekends. Our schedule is really skewed, since he's never home from work before 9:30. On the weekdays, he's up first and I get up right before he leaves to make his coffee, etc. On the weekends, I'm still up around 9 (a bit later, but not much) and he'll easily sleep till noon! I'm hoping at some point he'll move past that whole sleep all morning thing, but it doesn't much matter now. We're just both night-owls.
We get up at the same time. But FH usually has to wake me up otherwise I'd just sleep all day!
well its 12pm here and my husband is still asleep...so im always the first one up unless hes workin and im not, then he gets up at 7am. I honestly believe he could sleep all day and night if id let him...ive seen him come pretty close to doing it a time or too. We actually fight sometimes because he does sleep sooo much. To the point where I wouldnt even let him keep our son when I was working and he was off because I was teriffied that he wouldnt wake up with him, and he normally doesnt. Im no early bird myself but when our son wakes up I am up, I may not always feel like getting up, Mostly becaue I stay up late after I put him to sleep, but I do because thats what you have to do when you have kids. He even comes home after work and goes to sleep most of the time...so its been a big issue for us. Theres nothing medically wrong with him either.
We normally wake up at the same time, but we have a 2 year old to help us! Sometimes he will let me sleep in and will go watch cartoons with my son :) so sweet!
I'm always, always, always up before him. I usually have my laptop next to the bed so I'll just snuggle with him and play online. Realistically, I snuggle with him and play on WB, ha.
We always get up at the same time on weekends, and then we take a shower together :) Not meant to be TMi, because 90% of the time we just chat about what we want to do for the weekend in there!
During the week, he gets up earlier than me since I'm not working anymore. I get out of bed as he's leaving. When I was working too, it was reversed (he'd get up later)
I could easily get up at 7:30-8 on the weekend, but he works late so I often stay in bed with him until he gets up. Its nice to just hang out.
i'm always up first! i get up at 8ish, and he wakes up between 10:30 and 11. usually 11. i don't mind because i'm not working and he is, so i'm glad he gets his sleep!
FI hasn't been getting up until Noon, day off or not. = ( I'm up at 4 on work days, though, and on my days off I am up by 9.
I get up super early on weekdays so I'm always last on weekends. I tell him he can't even try to get me up before 8:30 but I typically sleep till about 9, 9:30. I have always been a sleeper. I think it helps me not to get sick.
It's not lazy; it's regenerative!
FI is always up first. He usually wakes up around 7 in the morning no matter what time he goes to sleep.
We were both out at 11 last night and he was up at 6:30. He woke me up around 8:30, but I could have slept longer. :)
the dog usually wakes me up on weekends when he starts getting hungry. never fi--me. even though fi's the one who feeds him during the week, he wakes me up. oooor actually, fi probably just ignores him, and i'm more responsive....so usually, the dog wakes up, makes little groany sounds which makes me get up, i feed him and walk him, and then the dog goes and wakes fi up :)
I get up earlier when we don't have distractions. Our furbabies get us up together though normally.
Wow, this post makes me feel bad lol I really need to start waking up earlier!!
@JoesWifey.. well atleast some one is like me.. im reading this post and im just thinking "oh God why are they all waking up in the middle of the night..lol..
I looove sleeping.. my FI is always and always awake before me.. on the weekends he "sleeps in" till 8:00.. and he will leave and ask what time i want to get up.. i feel bad.. and say 11 hoping he will forget to wake me up..lol.. he never does.. hes in the kitchen making "breakfast/lunch" for me while i sleep.. and makes sure its ready at the time im planning to get up.. hes a sweetheart.. where did i even find a guy like that? lol..

It's almost 8am here. DH is still asleep, in bed, and I've been awake since 6:30. We went to bed around 11pm last night!
I slid out of bed around 6:45 and had some coffee. Now i'm just playing on the internet, probably gonna eat some breakfast, then watch an episode of Lost. I'd go work out, but I JUST had my coffee and I'd probably wake him up if I went in there. Thinking about using the Wii Fit instead today, since I worked out last night, though. Still gotta head to the store for a book and some protein bars for my trip to Europe. And picking up some kim-bap at the K store down the street for lunch (rolls are $2.50 at the K store, yummy!)
I'm always up first, even on weekends. How about you?
