If they aren't registered yet, I'd bring them a bottle of champagne, wine, or spirits (if you know their preference) along with a note of congratulations.

I've never been to an engagement "open house" before, only traditional engagement parties at restaurants and the sort. We just got invited to one, though, and I'm not sure if we should bring a present or not? It seems a lot more casual than what I'm used to. It's not a housewarming (or we'd for sure bring something small) and it's not a traditional engagement party (or else we'd for sure bring something small). It's more of a "drop by when you have the chance" type of party.
Thoughts? Would you bring a gift?
