I don’t have any pictures of the box and I have no idea what the box looked like…

The box that mine came in is pretty plain, but since we’re both Doctor Who fans for our wedding our rings are going to be carried in inside a miniture TARDIS.

Mine was an heirloom, so it didn’t have a box. It went from his mom’s finger into a Ziploc bag and into my hands.

Mine was the box it came in from the shop, purple box with a ribbon around it. He didnt use the box though cause it is so big didnt fit in his pocket so he just had the ring in his pocket lol

Jewellery stores should really think about that with engagement rings..

Box on left is from her james allen e-ring right is the blue Nile wedding band. Both boxes are nice but are not important or useful. Ering was presented in box then removed and placed on her finger. The ring has only seen the box one time since when went camping.

@KatyYoung:  Have to be honest, I never gave it a moments thought lol.

They both came in their original boxes; my first was in a pale silvery-gold small leather box; the second in a large, baby blue leather box, which comes inside a baby blue cardboard box that ties with ribbons. Both had white linings.

For the ceremony, we’ll be using the boxed the rings come in; which will be the blue ones I described above.

My box broke, we were travelling a lot last year and somewhere in one of the suitcases it got a bit of damage and just broke

My heart did not break. Then again, the fact the box was in a suitcase kinda says it all really.

FI got me another box – was not excited, never use it

I actually do, because I cannot stand the feel of velvet. I cannot touch it. I don’t know why, but the feel of it freaks me out so much. So if my SO were to give me a ring in a velvet box I would feel like he didn’t even know me and I’d be a bit concerned about our relationship.

No I don’t really care – the only reason I remember what it looks like is because it holds our wedding bands right now and Im always perving on them!

Its a dark wooden box with a shiny finish, lined with white leather. Its what all this jewellery shops’ engagement rings and sets come in.

I should note, ours was free, but my best friends’ fiance bought a $100 box to put the extremely overpriced ring in (the damn thing put him in debt when they were already in debt and shes a student, he an apprentice – figure that one out?)

    Obviously he cares.

I care about the ring and what it represents more than the box…

I did! At first I really wanted a vintage box, but then because we went with Simon g, we got a really cool box that has an LED light on the inside! Haha I love it 🙂

DH didn’t take the velvet box out of the cardboard box so he basically had to open two boxes to show me my ring! Since it took a bit longer, I did notice the box but if it had just been in one box I wouldn’t have noticed the box at all. I didn’t really care what the box looked like anyways.
