Do you mean big/satisfactory or too big?

1ct is pretty standard, I don’t think it would be out of control or anything.

Big is all relative of course, but for me if I see a stone that is 2+ I think “thats BIG!”

I have a 1ct stone & I love the size & think it looks proportionate on my hand. It looks large, but not like “dang that is BIG!”

sidenote: I will add that I love 2ct rings, but that is the biggest I would ever wear personally would be a 2, and even then that may be a little much for me, so prob a 1.5 ๐Ÿ™‚

I actually found the 1ct stone much too big for me. I was happy in the 1/2-5/8 range.

I consider 1ct to be a very good sized stone (that is what I have).  Stones of 1.5 to 2 ct start to look BIG to me (although that isn’t necessarily a bad thing).

@agirlwithdreams7: LOL I love you!  Sounds like me!  I have a 2 c total ering and the band we bought was another c.  I too wanted two bands HOWEVER, my soon to be said it wouldnt fit on my finger I would have rings to my knuckle! LOL I say if you can afford it spend it!  I just dropped 4 grand in the jewerly store for his band and mine which hit my pocket book hard! Just enjoy whatever you get, and if you get one band now there is always years to come for another one!

I consider it to be ‘normal-sized’ –  meaning – not too big or not too small.  When rings are 2 ct I start thinking – man, that’s BIG.

Before I recieved my ring, I didn’t truely understand how big the sizes were. The internet made 1 ct seem ‘average’, so that is what I wanted… at least.

Well, I got a beutiful .85 ct, and to me it seems HUGE. I honestly would not want to go any larger, and my finger size is 8.25, so it is not even one of those cases where the girl has small fingers.

I have big fingers (size 9) so I always figured I’d need a 2 carat stone.

FH ordered a 1.1 carat moissanite solitaire and it looks perfects.

Now 2 carats seems really big to me.

@agirlwithdreams7: OMG! 1ct solitaire moissanite here too and I have lately been thinking of maybe sizing up (keeping my e ring of course but having a super blingy ring for something extra special)! I am looking at the 4mm 4 prong moissanite eternity ring for a wedding band but I am worried that it may look big with my 1 ct so I may wear them on different hands. I think 2ct and up gets a, wow that’s BIG, reaction from me. But it also depends on finger size too.

I used to think 1 carat was really big, but now that it’s been sitting on my finger for a few months it doesn’t seem that big anymore.  I think this happens to a lot of people, we get “shrinking diamond syndrome” when we look at something often.

Funny thing though, sometimes if I catch my hand in the mirror I think the ring looks big.  Seeing it from a different angle makes me see it how I did at first.  When I see other people with 1 carat, I think it’s a fairly good size.

That totally depends on your style and your fingers. a .75 carat looked like a 1 carat on my finger because my finger is thin. That and it depends on your personality. Some love delicate. Some love blingy. I’m personally on the big and blingy side of things. My budget is more in the 1ct or under range, but my fantasy is 1.5 to 2ct. ๐Ÿ™‚ Do you have any pics of your ring on your hand?
