Inspired by another recent thread, I thought we could get an idea of how many bees "dabble". By "dabble" I mean engage in herbal enjoyment, if you get my drift...
I admit to "dabbling" but haven't in a few weeks cause that stuffs expensive!
I tried it back in high school once, but I've never been interested in trying it again!
I'm a dabbler but not a daily dabbler!! But two of my wildly successful friends are daily dabblers and get more focused with dabbling....go figure!
I used to dabble big time in high school. It's been a few years :(
DH and I used to dabble pretty frequently before we moved to a new city. Tapered off after that, what with the not knowing anyone/being unemployed/looking for work/potentially being dabble-tested. I sometimes wish we lived in CA. Plus we're going to start TTC soon, so it'll probably be a good long while before we dabble again.
I have a lot of friends that do, and I've tried it twice, but it's not my thing at all.
@UpstateCait: I know. I really wanna call my friend Squish right about now...
We took some friends to a midnight Pink Floyd laser show a few weekends ago, and the guys running it talked for almost 5 minutes about how lame we were if we hadn't dabbled before going in (we hadn't), and how that's what the parking lot was for, but it was cold out, so we should feel free to dabble inside, but had to share with them. I'm pretty sure they dabbled a big ole dabble before starting.
@UpstateCait: lol, agreed!! unfortunately dont have the means to dabble right now ;-)
DH and I were definitely daily-dabblers up until after our wedding. Basically Jamaica was the pinnacle of daily dabbling and then from there its only been occasional. But we are very excited because we are having a dabbling dinner party in a few weeks.... as in dabbled desserts, entrees, apps! One of DHs uncles got us a dabbling cookbook for our wedding! Lol!
Too scared to try it!
but I've done a lot of crazier crap in my lifetime so I'm not sure why I haven't "dabbled" ??
@Mrs Sarah McK: I just burst out laughing to "dabbled a big ole dabble".
@UpstateCait: I LOLed to that too!
@greekbrunettebride: so interesting! I wonder why you are scared? Do you know someone who had a bad experience?
@PitBulLover: my bad boy ex BF introduced me to Squish on our first date. Romantic right?!
BTW I just edited this post like 5 times to fix spelling. I think I might be a wee bit tipsy right now lol
@PitBulLover: I am SOO jealous of your dabbling dinner party! You'll have to let us know how it goes. =)
@UpstateCait: and @Mrs Sarah McK: and I need friends like you!!! Im really excited for our dinner party!! The munchies are going to take on a whole new meaning!
Oh, man, back in college my friends and I dabbled almost daily. I am still up for the occasional (or slightly more than occasional) dabbling, but it's been awhile since we had anything to dabble in. :/
I use to be the biggest dabbler you could ever meet back in high school. It's been a number of years since I've dabbled, but those were some of my best times!
p.s. this thread is making me want to watch "Half Baked". I say up with hope, DOOOOWN with dope!!
Dabble dabble. Dabble dabble. Dabble dabble.
OK, I really just wanted to type the word dabble a whole bunch. It is an incredibly fun word and I did not appeciate it until this moment.
I have never dabbled. I would eat a dabbled brownie I think. Other than that, my money goes to Diet Pepsi and candy bars at work. :D

Thank you!
I do every once in awhile...when I meet up with my best friend. It doesn't happen often because we live an hour and a half apart...I would say about 8 times a year total. I love it though, lol. We have the best time!!
@MightySapphire: Thank you for posting that! Im sure all of us were wondering whether this thread was ok or not. So far it seems fine but obviously it could easily go in the wrong direction in which case we would all understand its removal if necessary.
@MightySapphire: If it needs to be removed, I totally understand. We were wondering how it would be received anyways but so far it seems okay to me.
I kind of feel like my way cool aunt came upstairs to tell me my parents might be coming home soon...
@PitBulLover:ooooh boy - i went to a dabbling dinner party once and it was a bad scene for me. I got the munchies, so i ate. I ate, so i got the munchies. I got the munchies, so i ate. Repeat.
Cut to my F-R-E-A-K-I-N-G out in the bathroom alone for hours wondering if i was going to feel like that forever.
I'd been a daily dabbler before then...now i'm an every once in a while dabbler, but never more than a little bit, or it takes me back to that night!
I used to occasionally dabble, but SO is very straight-laced, and it really bothers him. I promised I wouldn't any more, and it's not a big deal for me to give it up.
@Mrs Sarah McK: I get it from my mom. My cousins smoked up when they visited her and all she did was send them a note thanking them for the seeds they left in the bathroom. :-)~
@ScarletBegonia: Lol that really sucks..Im sure that was not a good feeling! We will definitely be very very careful!
@MightySapphire: LOL your mom sounds like a cool lady!
Also - this thread is very fitting because now Im watching House Hunters International - Amsterdam!
@MightySapphire: That's pretty fantastic. Thanks for letting us know..
@PitBulLover: You should have some non-dabbled food things available, just in case.
