@xoxClairexox:  You should definitely stick to the sixpence tradition, especially if you have one that’s been handed down in your family! Don’t listen to your bridesmaids. It’s not stupid for you to honor the (true) tradition.

Yes! Absolutely keep up the tradition! If I could find a silver sixpence, I’d do it, but I am going to do the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!

I wore a silver sixpence.  My Godmother let me borrow her original one.  She was very sweet and actually bought me a boxed one to keep – since I couldn’t keep hers.  I doubled it up as my something borrowed.

I’m doing it, I hope. I’m also attaching a horseshoe charm to my skirt, if I remember to. The only thing I’m worried about is whether the sixpence will hurt my foot, so I think I might stick the sixpence into one of my insoles.
