I know that this is a strange poll and doesn't have to do with wedding planning. But I thought it'd be interesting to see what kinds of eaters are we?

I love a good rare steak, bacon cheeseburger, or hot dog every now and then, but I typically stick with fish, chicken and turkey for every days meals.

I would have clicked pollotarianism, b/c i don't USUALLY eat pork, lamb, or red meat, but I don't necessarily exclude them.  Out of a month, i may eat that once or twice

When I was 12, I only ate chicken and fish all the way until I was 18 and moved out on my own. Then I was poor and I'd eat anything I could afford! I've never switched back so I'm a meat lover.

Yeah, I'm a meat eater. I eat more chicken than any other meat but I love me some meat.

I'm an omnivore. I eat meat, but not a lot. it's no a concious, don't eat meat choice, just sometimes I don't want to eat it. I eat meatloaf and a good cheeseburger! But I don't eat steaks. Not sure why....

I love meat. Lamb, pork, beef, turkey, all of them. I'm also a huge seafood fan. Although I do make sure I keep it all in a healthy diet.

I was a vegetarian for a few years (could never do vegan... I love cheese!). I gave it up because it was just so hard to find/cook new things (I'm a really picky eater so adding another restriction is really hard). Now I eat mostly vegetarian, but I eat chicken maybe 2-3 meals/week. I eat red meat maybe once every month or two. I don't eat fish or pork (except for a very occasional pepperoni or bacon).

I avoid most meat.  I'll do chicken and fish, but almost NEVER red meat.  Once in awhile pork of some kind.  But no beef - when we want something beeflike, we eat bison!  It's way way way better for you, and I think it's way more delicious.  Plus local.  We're total hippies - we try pretty har to source any meat we eat from farms with good practices.  Industrial meat processing is so bad for the environment.  I feel a lot better physically when I'm following a nearly veg diet.

I am a vegetarian who occassionally eats fish (but almost no other seafood). My fiance, however, is a vegetarian bordering on a vegan. He won't eat anything with gelatin in it or fish sauce. If he could make himself give up cheese and milk, he would be a vegan.

@artbee- too cute that you really like pigs :)

I do feel guilty every time I eat meat because I don't feel like humans should eat meat... but I'm weak.

I love all sorts of meat, but eat it in moderation.  I usually enjoy salads and fresh veggies and fruits more.  But nothing beats a well-cooked piece of medium rare porterhouse!  ;)

i love meat! bring on the steaks and burgers! i too had been thinking about food at our reception until i found out that we could only do a buffet (venue has too small of a kitchen to deal with a large-ish sit-down dinner)... so buffet it is, and everyone can just eat what they want.

I'm not anti-meat, I just don't like most of it. Especially the way it's commonly found in 'american' style food - just big slabs of flavorless, dry, lonely meat. Gross.

I like meat as much as the next girl, but I am more of a pasta fan. :) I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore carnivore, but yes I do eat most meats (beef, some pork, chicken, fish, misc seafood like shrimp/lobster/crab). And Eggplant. I am now finding I am a big fan of eggplant! :)

I'm a vegetarian. When I was 11 - much to my mother's chagrin - I decided that "I liked animals too much to eat them" and haven't gone back since.

I'm kind of a vegetarian hypocrite, though, as I often can't resist leather shoes, and ride horses which means I use leather tack, boots, etc. I try to buy secondhand only, so I guess every little bit helps.

I've pescatarian for about 4 years now. I get weirded out by the taste and texture of meat. Never liked the stuff so now I try to eat fish every so often but mostly just all the other good stuff!

I am a total carnivore. We are trying to cut down and have two meatless dinners a week because sustainability is important to me, but we humans were designed to eat meat and there are key nutrients that you can't get from a vegetarian diet. I have helped several of my friends who are vegetarian learn about what nutrients they need to supplement with their diet, but I could never do it myself.

I eat chicken, fish & a little beef. I do not eat pork/ham. I will eat bacon though if it's in something.

I'm not Jewish (everyone asks when they find out)-- it's a personal choice & I'll spare you the specific reasons why. Someone once compared pork to something & I've never been able to get that image out of my head.

Plus pork smells funny & has a gelatinous texture... blech.

My FI and I are both vegetarians. We both aspire to follow a vegan diet, but we occasionally indulge in cheese and other dairy products, so we aren't true vegans. Since becoming a vegetarian, my life has changed dramatically. My skin is glowing, I lost a ton of weight, and I have so much energy. I also eat amazingly delicious food... last night I made a Tuscan white bean, roasted garlic and kale stew... sooo delicious! I use to love a good meatball sub, but I can't imagine going back to eating meat now that I see how much better my body feels without it! My favorite vegan products that I try to introduce my non-veg friends to (besides TONS of fruits and veggies.. yummy!) are agave nectar (an amazing sugar/honey substitute that has a low glycemic impact) and nutritional yeast flakes (a cheesy product that tastes amazing on popcorn and is chock full of b-vitamins... I'm addicted to it!)

it's always tough when my church goes on a consecration fast because then we don't eat red meat or pork. 45 days without bacon would be criminal if i weren't doing it to deepen my relationship with God. it's tough though.

I eat meat, but sparingly. I probably only eat meat once or twice a week, but when I do, I'll eat most kinds. I don't prefer seafood unless it's sushi, and I don't eat pork at all, but poultry and red meat is fine by me. I LOVE STEAK!
