Do you ever buy food for yourself that’s meant for kids? Or catch yourself enjoying your kid’s snacks?
The other day I bought some juice boxes (mostly because they are conveniently portioned into 100 calorie portions). But then I realized how much I like cheerios, squeezable apple sauce, chicken nuggets, chocolate milk, goldfish, and other “kid” staples. How about you?

i really pride myself on cooking a large portion of my meals, and on the fact that we get a produce box 1x/week from a local farm, etc etc.
but damnit if i don’t LOVE me some beefaroni. and i have to give into this craving every few months…

I buy a ton of kiddie food, especially Annie’s Bunnies, Goldfish crackers and Teddy Grahams.
In addition, whenever I can get away with it, I order off the kid’s menu. I prefer the portion sizes since it’s not a huge commitment and I can get something else, such as a side salad or a soup, with it. It’s not about the cost issue, although kid’s menus are usually quite a bit cheaper.

Capri-sun. Logically, I know it’s only sugar water, but it’s damn tasty!

@sugaree: OMG, I love these, especially frozen, like a giant popsicle.

@kerensa: Nothing that I can think of other than sometimes I buy fruit snacks… and sometimes but rarely I buy juice boxes.
When I was growing up we didn’t really have kid food and grown-up food much per se (other than the above). At age 4 I loved brussells sprouts and kalamata olives lol.

I’ll sometimes buy the low calorie Chef Boyardee ravoli! 🙂 And sometimes I’ll get lunch ables for my lunches. 😉

Hmmm I eat healthy food and I did the same when I was a kid. Not sure what you mean by “kiddie food” but the suggestions scream sugar/salt/fat/additive to me. I’d think the most important time to not eat those things is when yo’re a child. Also, if you learn back then to eat well, you will eat healthy for the rest of your life most likely. So I can’t really contribute but would be interested to learn what half of those things are.

Totally, especially when lunchables are on sale at Target for a dollar, and sometimes spaghettios

I just finished a glass of Kool-Aid 😀
I love kids cereals though. Count Chocula, Fruity Pebbles, Captain Crunch…..

I bought a box of capri suns when we were told to prepare for Sandy. Still enjoying those baggies of deliciousness. I also regularly purchase teddy grahams for my own consumption.

I’d do a pretty slutty pole dance for some gummy bears…no matter what.
