This is what my SO randomly asked me last night just minutes after we went to bed. The answer is: yes, I do get bored.
Turns out he’s been thinking about what I do to keep away boredom. I don’t really have any hobbies and I’ve thought for awhile that I should probably get some because sleeping my life away doesn’t count. But it’s to the point where even SO is wondering.
I do enjoying reading, which I do as much as I can. And I do enjoy cooking, though I don’t do it very often because of his limited pallette.
So, what do you guys do for hobbies? I’m thinking about checking out our local rec center and getting into yoga to help with clearing my mind and cardo, and possibly checking out their belly dancing class.

Well right now I spend a lot of time on this site or researching wedding things… I also loving playing with my cat. I love to read as well.

when I get bored I like to watch a bit of White Collar and perve over Matt Bomer a bit 😉

weddingbee for now until something better comes along….
Seriously, reading, cooking, getting new things at second hand stores when they have their 50% off days! And looking for an extra cleaning job.

And the gym, house hunting, going for manicures, watching movies, shopping (although I haven’t been shopping in a while, trying to save for our house)
But my husband always tells me I should get an actual hobby. I get depressed sometimes and he says a hobby might help me.

I don’t get bored!
I like reading, baking, catching up on TV shows, running/lifting weights, playing with our dogs, sitting outside with a glass of wine, playing Scrabble on my phone, doing crossword puzzles…I am always entertained, even if it’s doing almost nothing 🙂

Our city’s parks and rec dept is pretty awesome – they have all kinds of classes. I’ve taken quite a few dance classes for cheap through them. It was fun. I also taught myself to knit, because I’m 27 going on 80. It’s very calming.
I also just discovered Pure Barre classes and have become addicted with a very love/hate relationship. I look forward to getting my ass kicked 3-4x a week now. Sigh.

I have too many hobbies, I wish I had more time for em:
Knitting, Crocheting, Reading, Playing Guitar, Cooking food, Needlework, Painting.. bah. I’ve also wanted to get into more photography and quilting.
I cook, bake and do alot of painting and crafts with kiddo, so I incorporate that in my sparetime with him.. I leave the rest for a rainy day.

I’m rarely bored. I like to do crafts, I crochet in the winter a lot, I am learning to sew. I usually end up reorganizing something if I’m bored. I run and go to the gym and do yoga, read, walk the dog, cook, look for new recipes, or I just enjoy relaxing with my hubby and watching some bad tv show.

Okay, I’m realizing I actually have a lot of hobbies then. It just seems that women’s hobbies are less impact driven, and more relaxation driven.

I dance from time to time. Though I do shows and whatnot I still attend classes for dancing, sewing, etc. I also volunteer at my local animal shelter and soup kitchens.
