Ha. Up until this month, I kept telling myself I had tons of time to lose weight, do DIY projects, you name it! And then I counted... Um, I have SIX MONTHS. WHAT?! where did all that time go?
YES! We've been engaged since Dec 2008, so I always thought "oh we're having a long engagement, I have plenty of time"... now it's almost the holiday season (which always passes by really quickly), and pretty soon we'll be in 2010! Wowzas!!
Yes! I have about 4 1/2 months left to go. But my Knot checklist is screwed up, and it keeps giving me the incorrect sense that I'm really far behind in the planning. Grr. Like anybody needs the extra stress at this point!
Other than that, I'm getting excited!
Yep. My sweetie pointed out today that we have been engaged for nine months, and only eight more months to go before the wedding. I was floored that that much time had passed already. Where did it all go?
I know how you feel and I have ten months to go before the wedding!
We got engaged last March and knew pretty quickly that we were looking at an 18 month engagement. All the wedding planning seemed so distant and far in the future...well where the heck did 8 months go already?! I feel like things are getting a lot closer now with only about 300 days to go!
I guess 90 days to go is frightening, but also really exciting! :)
I'm already having flashes of this, and we don't even have a date yet! The soonest would be about a year out from now, and some times I'll be like, "OMG we're not gonna be reeeeeeeeeeeeeady arrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhh!!" and then I remember, calm down, crazy girl! hehehe...
Ha, I'm wishing it were further away!! I need more time to get things done! It really does sneak up on you, so enjoy the time you have to plan. Mine is this weekend!
yes and when i think about it i start freaking out (just a little!)... i think about all the stuff i have to do by then, and the more i talk to recently married people, the more there seems to be to do!
Yes! We're getting married a month from Friday, and I was just thinking last night about how soon that really is! I can't wait! :-)

I can only imagine once January comes and my wedding will then be in a few months. Considering we've been engaged since 2005, I mean this "wedding" is almost like....how to explain it. Seemed like something that was never really going to happen. Almost like turning 30. You know when you are little, 30 is like ancient LOL and something that almost seems like you will never get to. Well now I'm 28 and 30 is def. real now! So wow, I'm really going to have a wedding next summer! (hope that comparison made even just a tiny bit of sense!)
Yesterday was the 6 onths to go mark and esy, it did hit me! OMG! Only 6 more months?
Oh goodness. Yes, I have been engaged for 2 years already and i cannot do anymore shopping or planning until mid-december and at that point it will be 6 months away and even now i loook at the time and say "wow! it feel likes yesterday i got engaged. Wait if that is how I feel then this time is going to go fast." LOL
Yep! I've been engaged for so long (since March 2008) so it always seemed like everything was SO FAR AWAY. Now it's only 8 months! So excited :o)
I have been engaged since December 2006 and I now have a little less than 7 weeks until we leave for Jamaica (December 18th). Since I am not planning and everything will be a suprise for me courtesy of the most wonderful man on earth....I am just excited that it's almost here. I am sure my knees will be shaking on the day of...but right now I am just walking around with a secret smile on my face =)
I remember for a long time, I was so used to saying "May 16, 2009" when people asked me when the wedding was. It was really weird when I switched into just saying May, because it meant it was the year of the wedding. It was REALLY weird when we were under 3 months out!
We've been engaged since 9.21.08 and our original date was 7.9.10 but we actually are pushing the date back 4 months bc time went by way too fast and we didn't have time to plan the wedding of our dreams so I know SO well what you are realizing!
I hear you. I have three months! And now I feel like the pressure is on, like it's a race against time. My SO mentioned how we only have like 11 weekends between now and then which will go so quickly on so many things, and there's so much more in between. Thankfully I'm off this week and have accomplished a lot so far, but I still have so much more, and that's because we're technically "on time" with the wedding checklist.
My big thing was when I bought milk that was set to expire after the wedding. I freaked!
One of my BMs was talking about sending her invites out in March and I realized that is only three months away! And her wedding is only two months before mine!
I'm mostly surprised its going to be 2010 in two days!
I hadn't and then I was gchatting with my MOH who does wedding planning and she was like it's going to be here in two seconds and I told her to STFU because I need to lose like 3/4 of my body before it gets here. Eek.
Yes! Forever it's been, "Oh, you have plenty of time, it's over a year away..." and NOW it's, "Uhh, yeah you should get on that, it's less than a year from now."

My FI and I got engaged last Thanksgiving and for the last well...since we got engaged I've felt like January 30, 2010 was SO FAR AWAY! Now it's less than 90 days (89 to be frank) and I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that it's not that far away anymore! Now we don't have to specify a year when we tell people our wedding date and I'm noticing that when I go shopping for things, like wedding bands, I don't get a weird look from the salesperson like "Uh...you're a little early."
Do any of you long engaged (or long time waiting) bees feel this way?
