Never happened to me luckily! I wear mine pretty much 24/7. If for some reason I take it off for bed, I put it on in the morning as I'm getting ready because it's sitting on my dresser staring at me as I do my makeup! Haha
I forget to put it on once in a while. I take it off when I go to bed and if I'm just lounging around the house I'll forget to put it on.
I don't forget to wear them, but sometimes, during the work day, I take them off and put them on the ring holder on my desk. And then I'll occasionally think I forgot them at home.
I work in healthcare so I leave mine at home while I'm at work (to prevent it from collecting the disgusting germs I come in contact with!) Then I end up forgetting sometimes to put it back on when I get home.
I rarely wear mine unless I have to day off as I am in contact with lots of people and am doing stock all day. I don't want to ruin it.
I forget to put mine on. I have to take mine off to put on my kitchen gloves and often forget it in the ring dish. :( I end up feeling so guilty but FI only laughs.
I've only had it for about 3 weeks, but I only take it off once in awhile. I'm still wavering on whether to sleep with it or not, but if I don't, I notice its absence in the morning right away and put it back on.
Once or twice. Mr. Mink usually puts it on my finger when we wake up. :)
Yeah, mine is really, really loose so I take it off a lot when I'm doing stuff where I don't want to risk getting it lost, or when I do dishes or other chores where it could get stuff on it. I'll end up halfway to work or all the way there before I realize I forgot my ring lol.
Yep! I work as an engineer so there are many times I don't wear it on purpose(mainly for safety/cleanliness reasons). Because of that (I think) sometimes I forget to put it on when I go out.
I hardly ever take mine off. I sleep, shower, go everywhere with it. I really only take it off while cleaning (chemicals), but put it back on as soon as I've washed my hands.
I wear my all the time too. On the rare occation I take it off (usually kneading dough or other messy cooking task) I always forget to put it back on, have a mini-freak out, and then remember to check the ring holder by the kitchen sink.
I forget my ring infrequently. I take it off as soon as I get home and put it in its box. Then I do the usual cooking, cleaning, working out, etc.
I only put it back on when I am getting ready for work in the morning and I will forget it when I am rushing.
My DH, on the other hand, is a bit anal about his wedding band and WILL turn around and come home to collect it IF he forgets. (depending on how far he has come already...)
It is culturally a bigger deal for him than for me so I wonder if that has anything to do with me not mentally caring if I remember it or not. I don't give it second thoughts. But seems like he does.
I've only had mine for just about two months at this point, so it's so new that I don't forget to put it on. I have a feeling that eventually, though, it will be something I forget!
I usually forget to put mine back on after doing dishes. So many times I've freaked out because I think I've lost it, only to remember that I had taken it off. Other times I simply don't wear it (at work, for instance) because I don't want to ruin it.
All. The. Time. I'm terrible at mornings, it's a mad dash to get out of the house and I'm usually halfway to work before I realize my fingers are naked and I hate that! I only have 2 spots at home I'll leave them; a candle holder in my kitchen for when I'm cleaning, cooking, etc. and a candle holder in my bathroom when I shower. I'm too afraid my cat will knock them off my nightstand if I leave them on there (he's done it before) otherwise I'd probably see them in the morning and remember easier. I generally sleep in them for that reason, although I know it's one of the worst things you can do haha! I found a cute little dish at the craft store this past weekend that matches my bedroom stuff, I may buy that to leave them in and hope I get better
Crabbabs I do the same as you..I only take it off if Im doing something messy.. and then I end up freaking out when I realize it.. Last christmas I was baking cookies..took it off to prevent it from getting dirty and then ran to the store in the middle of cookie making where I realized I hadnt put it back on and just about had a panic attack..I was ready to leave the cart in the middle of the isle to run home and get it..but I calmed myself and said that would be totally absurd thing to do being as it wasnt a child accidentally left at home lol
@jules0580: HAHA I've done the same thing!! For a while I had a silver band ring in my console I would slip on when I forgot my ring (not on purpose, I just stuck it there one day and kept forgetting about it). I don't know WHY, it's not like I think I'm going to get hit on uncontrollably in Wal-Mart when I'm in my yoga pants with no makeup and a ponytail...but I guess you never know!
I don't take mine off for more than a second. Like when I'm putting product in my hair or touching raw meat. Then I put it back on as soon as I wash my hands. So, no, but that's only because it's always on not because I have super-human memory!
@mink: Ummm... that is too adorable for words!! I want to start this tradition in my house! So cute.
on the rare occasion that i forget, it's usually when i take it off to clean or wash the dishes or something.
I took my ring off the other night when I went to bed...my finger was a little irritated. I was putting my thumb between my ring and pinky finger as if I was centering my ring as I do when it turns...LOL I did that until I feel asleep...I did remember to put it on for work this morning. But I never take it off unless I an cooking or cleaning
I take my ring off because if I wear it 24/7 it gives me tiny little painful blisters. :(
So yeah, I forget it A LOT. and it is normally on days that you would really want to be wearing your ring.. I forgot it when I went to look for wedding bands, I forgot it when I went to buy my dress, and I forgot it when we took our engagement pictures..
It's pretty awful.
I completely dislike my rings now that I'm married and can't seem to wear them...I forget all the time too now.
They're just too big and my jeweler won't resize them. So frustrated.
Only before bedtime. I've taken it off to shower and then crawled into bed without it... but then I always notice and I have to get out of bed and retrieve it ;-)
Not only is it my engagement ring, it was my Grandmother's before me. It's a 70 year old ring...I'm terrified of losing it! It only comes off when I'm in the shower and even then I panic about knocking it to the floor. I knocked it under the stand in the bathroom once and had a shrieking, hysterical fit until FI came and moved it. Let's just say I have always had a knack for losing/breaking important things, and don't need this one hanging over my head.
I take my e-ring off before bed and before I shower. I don't want it snagging in my hair. I also take it off when I clean around the house or handling raw meat/dough.
@CherryWaves: I sometimes forget it the day after I clean it. If it's not on me, I tend to forget.
I've never forgotten it leaving the house, but sometimes I take it off after my shower and then forget to put it back on until the last minute. Sometimes I also take it off when I get to work because my fingers get really cold and shrink a lot and it spins until they warm up again, which is annoying, but then I'll forget to put it on again for the rest of the day and notice it laying there on my desk as I'm gathering up my stuff to leave...oops.
Sometimes, usually I only get as far as off my driveway before I realize it's not on and just back up and run back in to get it.
I hardly ever take it off, so I've never actually forgotten it. Sometimes I squeeze my fingers together to make sure it's still there, even though I never took it off.... lol!
@mink: That's adorable :).
I forget mine all the time. DH goes into work a couple hours later than me, so I basically fumble around with my cell phone in our room. Kind of a lot of times, I forget to grab them before I jump in the shower, and it's all down hill from there.
I almost never forget, but there was one thanskgiving when we were busy packing/cleaning and I forgot to put it on before we left. We were already an hour away when I noticed. Boy did we get some terrible looks from family when I didn't wear it!
I occassionally forget to put it on when I leave the house. I don't wear it when I sleep, shower, wash my hands or when I'm at the house. So, I probably don't wear it more than I wear it. I'm not used to wearing rings on my fingers and prefer to only wear it when I'm out. I feel like this will keep the ring in good condition longer too.

I'm on day 2 that I've forgotten to put my rings on! Seems I notice as I'm in the car, feeling for it on my naked finger. I've forgotten a couple times to put my e-ring on before. And there I am telling DH that I'll have to remind him to put his on...
Ever find yourself feeling your naked finger to find you forgot your ring(s)?
