I’m thinking about it! This is dorky, but I really want all four seasons of Star Trek Enterprise, and I know no one else is getting it for me! πŸ™‚

I bought myself (and my family) a house πŸ™‚

My husband is unemployed so I did the whole thing on my own.  We closed on Friday and he is over there painting right now.

We got a great deal and the monthly payment is actually $150 less than the apartment we were living in.

To be honest I wait until after Christmas to see if I got what I wanted.  If I didn’t get what I wanted then I buy myself a gift LOL.

I am a bargain shopper queen, so I do all of the Christmas shopping for everyone, including myself. No one knows how to shop like I do, and they always procrastinate, so what I really want either isn’t available or isn’t on sale by the time they get to shopping. It just works out better that wayInnocent

Yep!  I got myself a dress and a sweater.  They are both wrapped and under the tree.

I can barely afford gifts for others. But I don’t have to worry, my husband, sister, and mil are all very good gift givers, so I have guarenteed 3 gifts that I’ll love. (my parents are good at gifts too, but they give $ so that’s different).

I always buy myself a Christmas gift, usually a complete new outfit made of items that AREN’T on the sale rack :p

This year I decided to go with a joint gift for my SO and I. I bought him an Xbox Kinect because it is something we can use to spend time together πŸ™‚ I wrapped it and the tag says “To: SO and MY NAME From: MY NAME.” I am sure he is thoroughly confused, haha.

@smith207: Like Miracle on 34th Street!

I don’t, but I usually do shopping in the post-holiday sales in January.

I also tend to treat myself to Starbucks and such more!

I bought myself a Foley + Corinna handbag, but it’s not wrapped or anything. It’s not the last purchase I plan on making, either. I can’t wait to see what else I buy for myself in the name of the holiday spirit, haha!

Every year. πŸ˜‰ I know it’s kind of silly, but I hear all kinds of news stories about how common this is (buying gifts for others makes you feel like you DESERVE something for yourself!), and how retailers depend on it, so why not?

This year I got myself a new sweater, which I’ll “open” before Christmas. I realized that, in all the years I’ve been spending the holidays with Mr. S, I’ve worn one of the same two sweaters to his family’s holiday gatherings–a black and silver turtleneck sweater, or a red cable knit turtleneck sweater. I figured it was time for a change. And not a turtleneck. πŸ™‚
