It’s not typical to give a gift other than maybe (only maybe) a small, silly gift, like those bride-and-groom pillowcases, love coupon books for the couple to trade, etc. It’s typical for the guests to all chip in and cover the bride’s expenses: drinks, dinner, activities, whatever you do.  The party itself is the gift and no other gift is required or expected.  It’s not a bad idea to ask whoever is organizing the party, what is on the agenda, so you can bring enough cash.
