No. I did not.  Not sure I would.  Here’s a question for you though.  Will Ellie and RuBam take his name after the wedding or will they keep yours.

If I were to name mine (which I am not) that could get really confusing.  They are my great grandmother’s rings so would they take her maiden name or her married one.  Or would the engagement ring keep her maiden name and the wedding band take my great grandfather’s name? Or do I get to give them new last names because they are mine now?

I think you may have stumbled upon a hilariously fun game if we consider the last names!  And even better fun if they are heirlooms.  Especially if they are from the bride’s side of the family.  If they were from the groom’s side of the family I’m sure it would just keep his name.

Oh here’s another one.  If part of the ring is an heirloom and the other part is from another heirloom what would one do then?

I think you may have stumbled onto an awesome new ring game!!

Names? For rings? Someone has too much time on their hands to think up something like this!

I think my promise ring will be “Miss Malinda Montreve” Because….well why not? She won’t be married and that sounds like a spinsters name! And makes me giggle and think of some victorian lady doing cross stitch or something.

Not sure what my ering and wedding bands will be, but She will hypenate her last name because she is a modern woman with old world values!

I might have though that out too much.

I haven’t picked a name out yet, but I fully intend to! We name a lot of things around here..my car is Mimi, my computer is Heidi, my camera is Pinky.  I probably wouldn’t share it with anyone but me and SO, but I like knowing she has a proper name!’

And the names you picked are adorable!
