(Closed) Do you go to group exercise classes?

I ended up taking the step and total body conditioning class. It motivates me WAY more than doing the elliptical. I definitely recommend that if you join, try out a few classes and see what you like. I’ve been back to them every week unless I have been out of town.

I love group exercise classes.  Mostly because when I’m there by myself, who is going to know if i work out 30 minutes or an hour or walk on the treadmill when I say i’m going for a run!

But with group exercise classes its totally obvious if you get up and leave (like i totally wanted to do during yoga yesterday).

That’s pretty much all I do is group classes. Spin, body works, zumba, yoga, pilates. It makes working out way more enjoyable for me and I look forward to getting my works out in every week.

I love group exercise!  I don’t do it as often now that I feel like I’ve got a handle on my workout routine, but it was highly motivating at first.  Try several different classes and see which ones you like, and also try out different instructors.  I have been to spin classes, zumba, weightlifting, yogay, water fitness, and many others.  Have fun!

I think classes are great! There are a couple that I have taken that are so much fun, that you look forward to going to them. I find that I push myself harder in the closes too so I don’t look like a fool:)

I love zumba 🙂  I look like a flippin’ goof, but I get really sweaty, have a blast, and burn TONS of calories in the process.

@ieatunicorns:  ^^ that’s what I do too. Ha!

 

@MM423:  I personally, am not a morning person, so I go after work. I did one zumba class with my cousin a few years ago and it was really fun. I would definitely try that out!

Yes and I love it. If I do Yoga at home, it lasts only about 10 min. but I can push through a 90 min class. Same with cardio. I can’t stand running on a treadmill but I can go on group runs or do a spin class. I think I need to see other people doing things to make me realize what I can do and not just quit!

I do body attack and it kicks my butt! Zumba is great fun and my weekly ‘fun class’ treat as it’s less serious than some of the other classes and allows me to burn a ton of calories just bouncing around. The best thing to do is to mix up the classes as much as possible and combine it with a bit of weights work in the gym.

I do spin, interval spin and body combat. Spinning is awesome. Dark room, loud music and disco lights whilst peddling like a mad woman!
