Well, I don’t at home, but at our family lake house/cabin we do. I’m not sure exactly how big it is but dang that thing is great. “What? Meat on sale? BUY IT ALL!”.

It’s a freezer to us. Not an ice box, a deep freeze, or an ice chest (all things I’ve heard those referred to) or anything else besides a freezer.

We have a freezer in the side-by-side refrigerator in our kitchen, and another one in the top of the refrigerator in our garage, that I call DH’s “beer fridge.”  So, two.  And we call them both “freezers.”

Both are full size but neither are separate.

We currently are renting & do not have space for one, but I’ve always grown up with one in the garage and it is referred to as an ” ice box”

ETA: we have a freezer that is attached to our refrigerator in the kitchen. The ice box is a separate unit that is typically housed in a garage/carport/laundry room

-edit- oops n/m, I didn’t read the “separate” part.  No, we don’t!!  Also I call it a freezer and I’m in the Midwest.

We have a freezer/fridge and then we have a stand alone freezer in the basement room.. It’s a standard deep freeze size. I call it a freezer. I’m in the MidWest but everywhere I’ve lived it’s been called a freezer!

Just the one in our fridge…we really have no need for a second one. The only people I know who have a second freezer are deer hunters who need somewhere to store the meat.

We don’t have a separate freezer but we have two fridges… So eseentially the second fridge in the garage is where all the extra sale meats and Costco items go. Along with our vast beverage offerings. 😉

I have an apartment sized seperate Freezer it is awesome, We can fit like $300 worth of frozen food in it at a time. We tend to buy Costco size frozen stuff (big bags/boxes of stuff) so there is no way it would fit in our normal fridge. Our fridge is a side by side and you really can’t fit much in it at all.

We have a freezer that is the size of a large fridge in our garage. We call it the freezer! So awesome for shopping at Costco because it’s the two of us and a roommate and there is no way we have enough room in our kitchen freezer.

No extra freezer for us.  Our fridge freezer still has tons of room now that the large cake box containing our top tier of the cake has been removed.  What a waste of space for a year!!!  It tasted horrible (it wasn’t properly wrapped up to be saved for a year.)  I’m happy it’s gone!

We have one in our garage that is probably 17 cu ft. But it’s a standing unit with a regular refridgerator-style door. While it’s good for easy access to thje contents, the arrangement isn’t the most efficient use of space for large quantity storage. We will probably buy a new one  in the next few months that is more energy efficient and makes better use of space. That way we will be able to buy larger quantities of meat from our local farms. We’re thinking about a 1/4 side of beef, 1/2 side of pork, 1/2 side of lamb, etc. It ends up being far more cost efficient to buy in bulk than to buy individual cuts of meat from the butcher shop, with the added bonus of knowing exactly where our food comes from and how the animals are raised/treated.

We have an upright (reach-in) freezer in the basement.  It’s…. 12 or 13 cubic feet.  Good size, but not huge.  Enough for a small family.  🙂

It’s a freezer.  My mom has a chest freezer in her basement.  Stuff stays frozen better but it’s a huge PITA to get stuff out of.
